@Viqsi could you afford to trade away Jenner and Roslovic, to get a better C? Or do you need a better C, to push those guys down?

probably option b and im not even a fan. Where's Kent Johnson i thought he was playing between G and Laine during the preseason?

Huh? Are you pretending that Horvat isn't worth either of those guys?

Dude is a 30 goal C who wins far more faceoffs than anyone in the league.
I like Horvat, but he's not worth either of those guys. Rebuilding teams don't trade top five picks (KJ) or even top 15 picks (Sillinger) with ELC years left a year after drafting them, especially not for a pending UFA who tops out as a ~55 point kind of guy.

I was referencing how this board consistently gets valuation wrong on players come deadline time,

Chariot should only get a 4th was a common train of thought
You Habs fans love to lie through your teeth eh? Common train of thought? Show me 3 posts where people said he's worth a 4th. I'll wait. Jeez.

Unless you think he's going to be a point per game player up until that point (which seems unlikely to say the least as he's only hit that mark once), I'd say that it is. He'll return something (especially at 50%) as long as he keeps up the way he's going, but a 1st seems wildly optimistic.
Optimistic, yes, but wildly optimistic ? Not so much.... You look at who fetched 1sts recently and Monahan wouldn't be out of his depth.

But expecting a 1st today when there is a lot of uncertainty, both about health and performance between now and the deadline, would indeed be wildly optimistic.

Time is a construct. Who's to say it's not daily?
I do, because I make the rules. And don't none of y'all ever forget that.

Larsen's afraid to try it in the regular season for some reason, so he keeps trotting out Jenner/Roslovic in that spot instead.

I'm not even remotely trolling. Cringe.
Except for the part where we were talking about a single agent's relationship with the team and you decided to start babbling about completely unrelated players as though they were ever part of the discussion previously.

Whose lying, I lived through this last year, multiple groups saying they wouldn't give up a 3rd, he's only worth a 4th

Proposal: - Ben Chiarot to NYR - post #9 , #92,
Proposal: - Montreal and Edmonton post 3,
Value of: - Ben Chiarot Post 2

I think you guys are kinda insecure, no offence, fans don't make trades. Who cares what HF thinks? Don't take it so serious. Big deal, some fans on the internet were offering only a 4th round pick for Chiarot. Don't worry about it.

I'm not, Im addressing someone who called me a liar, which no im not and addressing someone saying that monahan wouldn't be worth a 1st at the deadline if healthy and scoring by comparing it to the chariot situation last year.

ultimately everyone on here tries to underpay and then when the deal gets made it's usually fair

Adam Henrique for Gus Nyqvist? Both coming off strong seasons but struggling out of the gate.

Henrique has been great in the faceoff circle for the past few years but has been bumped to the wing this season. He has an additional year on his deal at a slightly higher cap hit, so perhaps some retention would be necessary.
Folks, here's a good old fashioned hockey trade.
