For 16 games.....

He also is 21 not 30. He's going to come to camp with more muscle and be a better version of himself next season. You can bank on that.

Even during the part of the season that Edvinsson played our blue line was clearly not good enough. I don't disagree with you that he'll improve and help our team but if the only improvement on our blue line is Edvinsson's internal growth, I think that's both disappointing from a team-growth point of view and also just an unfair situation to put a kid like that in.

And that is exactly why we will be in bottom 10

It is awful. Worse than last year

Like what.

1. Larkin, point per game player as last season. Full season = 10 extra points.
2. Raymond, will improve from 72 points to point per game player 82/82 = 10 extra points.
3. Kane 0.94 points per game, full season = 47 points to 77 points = 30 extra points.
4. DeBrincat, replicates last season 67 points. 0 difference.
5. Compher, 50-point season, 2 extra points.
(Perron 47 points)
6. Berggren = will replace Sprong 43 points, when getting a full season.
-------- The Top six will score 50 extra points and replace those Perron points. +5 points overall
7. Rasmussen, 33 points, will improve to 40p. +7 points.
8. Copp, 33 points, could improve a bit to 40p. +7 points.
9. Fabbri, 32 points, expect same 32p.
10. Veleno, 28 points, could improve a bit to 33p. +5 points.
11. Fischer, 19 points. expect the same 19p
12. Last season Berggren, 6 points in 12 games. some kid like Mazur could do this.
13. Kostin, 4 points in 33 games. Sheldon Dries can do this.
14. Czarnik, 1 point in 33 games. Anyone can do this.

So all in all, It's David Perron who is not replaced, but his production could be replaced most probably with improvement from Raymond, and Kane full season.

It's definitely better than last year though.

Seider-johansson
Edvinsson-gustafsson
Chiarot-petry
Holl

Honestly this board is going overboard. When we didn't get trouba or ghost they got Gustafsson which is an improvement and edvinsson and Johansson will be improvements also

And biggest impact will come from Seider at next season.

He is gonna outproduce what Gostisbehere ever did with 70 points, and Gustafsson & Edvinsson will bring the 1st pass skill to lower pairs.

Team GAA will go down thanks to better defence.

Don’t think it’s any secret but looks like they’re working on a couple of things. Likely why Yzerman won’t have a presser today.

Whether that’s Ekblad, Faulk, Theodore, Pietrangelo, Trouba or whoever it maybe, something is going on.

Trouba has gone quiet from what I understand. He’s not answering anyone. There’s some speculation he’s been given some time to decide if he wants to go somewhere. That’s assumed to be Detroit. Nobody’s even sure if Detroit was put on his list today. Just that NY had given him a few days to agree to a deal or not on Saturday night. So they may just be trying to do the right thing by their player. Meaning the Rangers. Which is normal in these situations.

Hearing maybe Detroit has talked a little to JVR too but he wants 2 years. Not sure if they’re in on anyone else.

Sure hope they aren’t done, because if this was the plan it’s a god awful one

JvR for 1M like he went to Boston would be a bargain deal.

Cool, I think any of these options would be great. It'll be nice if the Rangers include Kakko to sweeten the Trouba deal.

You’re adding a lot of extra points out of nowhere. Just 26 goals more and Detroit will have as many as Tampa had last season. So you’re literally pulling numbers out of your ass, especially because as is Detroit is worse than it was last season right now.

Now I’m anxiously awaiting one of these trades.

And what about the other guys who didn’t even reach the honor of sitting in the press box in your scenario?

Of all the players to covet, why have they been after JVR for years? Are they going to get Turris too, we’ll be like the Panthers with all the top picks it’ll just be from the 2007 draft instead of 2014

The longer Skinner is out there, the more likely I feel we can work something out. He's your shot at getting another 30 goal scorer and isn't going to cost $6+ mil and more than 2-3 years of term. We've done a solid job filling out the scoring line wing spots through trades and UFA signings.

Cat-Larkin-Ray
Skinner-Danielson-Kane

Again, hell f***ing no on skinner.

Selfish me-first player. Inconsistent effort season to season. Doesn’t know his goalies name.

Bring up Kasper and Mazur. Try and dump Copp to San Jose or Utah. Run Veleno as the 4C on a one year deal. Call it a day and accept Detroit finishing 7th in the division. That should be a top 8 pick next year.
