I would be very leary to give McDonagh a big long term deal. The amount of games he's played and his style, he is due for a sharp drop off at 32 or so.

There is a reason he is usually hurt come playoff time.

Hahahaha. The guys on TSN are saying Elliott is the first proper goalie for Philly in 20 years... And Marty Biron is sitting right there next to them

Loving that we didn't overpay for anyone so far. Hanzal, Bonino, etc all getting way too much.

The Gagne $3.0 x 3 is one which if I were JG, I would have done.

Agreed about Bonino and Hanzel....way too much money.

Gagne tho....argggg....I wanted him.

Where will the cap be in 2027? How many more lockouts with amnesty buy outs? What if nmc/ntc's get eliminated in exchange for an escrow cap?

I'm not advocating carelessness or am attitude that worries about the future another day, but you can't look at a deal in 2027 in 2017 terms.

Lol what?

He had a separated shoulder one year and a broken bone from a shot block. The latter can happen to literally anyone.

Larry tweeting about the Rangers potential cap issues going forward

Have to wonder if McDonagh is traded in the next year if they don't want to pay him
