Did it? TB signed him on their terms rather than the garbage contract the Rangers gave him, and gave up no assets, big difference. The Rangers would have had to likely retain significant money and the return still would have only been a late pick. I don't think that he really lost anything.

Yea its a great number but we cant give Shattenkirk 6.9 and expect mcdonagh to only take 100K more considering hes widely viewed as the better player
