I think they should definitely be a playoff team and could make some noise in the playoffs.
Their D is atrocious.

Can't we go for Landeskog instead of Duchene? Having watched him play alot on the national team, I consider him a very skilled player who plays with alot of grit, and the asking price would probably be considerably cheaper than Duchene.
I'd rather hang onto Hayes and hope that he puts it together in year 4 ala Blake Wheeler.
He has the skills to do it.

2018 1st should be off limits right now. Period.
Trading away Hayes in a madcap scheme to get Duchene kind of renders the move pointless, as the Rangers would still be 1 to 2 centers short, depending where you want to slot Miller. The only way a trade for Duchene makes sense is if the Rangers keep Hayes and Miller. That makes them a very dangerous team.
Eh we need that Center mayne. I really like Landeskog but I don't think the Avs move him right now. His value's at an all-time low considering he's coming off a bad year, 30-something points right? That's good for us, but I just don't think the Avs do it yet, if ever. He's a piece they probably want to stick with, especially since he's the Captain (not that Captains can't be moved obviously, but still)Can't we go for Landeskog instead of Duchene? Not really if your top 2 are Duchene and Zibanejad, you can afford to keep Miller at wing and go with a more defensive minded 3rd line center.
Sure. Leaving the Rangers still 2 centers short and much less cap room to sign them.
What do you guys think Jussi Jokinen would be looking for on a 1 or 2 year deal after his buyout? He's a good FO guy and possession player and had a down season on a down team last year. I think he'd be great in that 3C and would probably go for one of those prove it, $1-2M contracts at his age. He would also have the ability to move up and down in the lineup in the case of injury.
Was thinking to move Miller to C and replace him on the wing with Landeskog, maybe I'm mistaken but to my memory Avs front office made a push to try to move him and Duchene a couple of months ago. Nonetheless he's a good player who is probably cheaper right now than he'll ever be.
Apparently Bergevin submitted "final" offers to Markov and Radulov; no negotiations after.
lol
Habs are gonna Hab.
If the Habs don't resign Markov, they'll be in A LOT of trouble! A non playoff team for sure! If they sign Galchenyuk for say 6X6, they'll probably have close to $10M in cap space but no one impactful to sign! On top of that, they have absolutely ZERO blue chip prospects in their pipeline!!!
Their GM is a real clown, he'll be fired over the summer...

Montreal looked into AA
Anisimov or Anthanasiou?
If Anthanasiou is even remotely available Gorton should be on that like crazy.
Can we send them Marc Staal for Gally before he's gone?![]()
