I understand what it means. I just think it's inconvenient since in this case it's also the most popular way to shorten Shattenkirk's name haha
Add another "t"

The problem with Hayes and Miller is they're both compliments to skilled linemates. It can get stale when they play together.
Hayes' lack of speed is the main reason packaging him for a 2C makes sense. It aligns with the team's identity and would help Miller.
As it stands, Staal and Hayes are the two weakest skaters on the team. Hopefully both can be upgraded upon
Mika had 15 points in 19 games before the injury, which is a 65 point pace, so I'm not too worried about his production. The biggest wild card is Kevin Hayes deciding to not be brain dead and actually be a good hockey player again without being dragged around by his linemates.
I really like Lias Andersson, but I'm not holding my breath that he's going to be the 3C coming out of camp. Let the kid tear up the SHL for a year and then make the jump. This is why Jumbo would have been the perfect 1 year stop gap, but I can't see that happening now.
We need to find a way to move a surplus d or a wing for a center.

Why is the word "s h a t" even censored?
I wonder if Galchenyuk would flourish here with better linemates.
Its the past tense of ****
I'm interested to see what Montreal would ask in return for him.
The more I think of it the more I feel AV is going to use Staal in the top four over Skjei again.

Why trade for Galchenyuk? We already have a C who's played at wing because he's worse at C in Miller, not like Gally has a much higher ceiling then JTM at this point either, if at all.
Let's not forget that Miller was a VERY good 2-way center as he developed. His 19 year old year at the WJC he was used as a center ton of only Drive offense but also shut down the other teams best players. He plays with an edge and he can distribute the puck. I wouldn't be overly opposed to seeing if he can develop more in that direction.
The team as is sorely lacks a guy in the middle who is a bit of a pain to play against. He may thrive more in that head to head matchup because he is so competitive than just playing as a winger.
McDonagh-Staal
Smith-Shattenkirk
Skjei-Holden

That'd be great but he's shown himself to be a liability defensively both on the wing and even worse at Center.
