This is actually a really nice change of pace, IMO. I also like the intrigue surrounding who they'll target instead of it being the names at the top of the board.

Yup, no anxiety from expecting them to sign wrong players, or at wrong terms, or missing out on someone.

But the versatility is great. Lots of teams would love to have multiple guys on the wing who can competently fill in at center due to injury.

I'm honestly split with Karlsson.

He's a game-changer elite, generational talent and fills a need.

BUT

He's 28, logged a ton of minutes, relies on his legs and will command 10-12M$ per.

I like Hayes. He can take a spot on RW if Chytil or Andersson take that next step. Hayes has trade value, though, so even though Names looks better on the wing, he can def shift to C for a bit if Hayes is traded and Filip/Lias aren't ready.
