Interesting structure...

$5M in 2022-23, $6.5M in 2023-24, $9.5M in 2024-25, $9.5M in 2025-26, $9.5M in 2026-27, $8.75 in 2027-28, $7.85M in 2028-29 and $7M in 2029-30.

Well, we did a bit of investigative reporting and discovered that he has in fact two children and is a Habs fan IIRC.

Talked about Klingberg a bit and debated why his play has fallen off so much.

@Senator Stanley had an interesting article breaking down his drop-off in play over the last two seasons and whether it's related to Rick Bowness.

I am disoriented from all the moves, I can barely keep up with the rumours and updates, I heard Pierre and Ryan Bowness splitting duties wrt trade/FA targets and negotiations to ensure these moves happen fast, working long hours.

That is the going rate for youngish #1 centers, he was always going to get between 7.5 to 8.5. See Suzuki, Hughes, Aho, Hischier contracts. No surprises here imo

I can only imagine how much Jimmy is gonna set us back seeing as he's going to be our actual #1 C going forward.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think a bridge was the way to go with Norris so we could eek out some AAV on another asset when we push for a cup.

When I said Thomas was the cieling for Norris I didn't mean that dorion should be banging his head on it.

Should probably be about 500k a year lower based on lack of Stanley cups, and full seasons.

Maybe ottawa had to pay a bit more because they didn't front load like St Louis.
