Is Seravelli an insider that has real sources? It's a question, as I don’t know. I seem to recall some negative comments in the past (perhaps in here).
There’s 2 steps to making the Senators better if they are contemplating moving Norris. The first is moving Norris. The 2nd step is replacing him with something better. Its the 2nd step that isn’t automatic & is harder to do. Of course, a big part of the motivation of moving Norris is his injury concerns. Norris has played 51 games this year, and could end up playing 74 games. Tarasenko also had 3 shoulder surgeries, had the same operation from the same surgeon 4 years ago, and hasn’t had any issues since.
Having said this, I’m fine with moving him, but as long it results in actual improvement. Dumping him is the easy part. These Rantanen pipe dreams, or for that matter Boeser aren’t getting it done imo.
It would be weird if Buffalo loses Peterka. He’s just the kind of player you’d think they’d want to keep. Anyhow, the gap between the have & have not teams seems to be growing.
