I think any player can be traded depending on the return. This has been proven before with Gretzky being traded from Edmonton to LA.Sorry, I meant to say the organization shouldn't trade him, not that they can't. They can be ruthless like Vegas or NYR, but not sure if its best to do that when we have trouble attracting FAs, unless of course the unlikely event of a deal being far too good to pass comes up.
There can be circumstances where the trade may be required for financial reasons (Gretzky was one of those, as was the Selanne trade from Winnipeg to Anaheim).
