Hard to argue with that.
Norris and Chabot are up in the air in this regard. If more injuries or underperformance happen they will be anchors.

Of the highest degree. No team with Stutzle, Tkachuk and Sanderson as their 1C, 1LW and 1D will ever consider a rebuild having them locked in longterm (sanderson inevitable).
I could see the team going through a few retools the way TB did before we hit our ultimate stride, but those 3 will make Ottawa feared for next decade +
100%, and I'm really hoping I'm wrong. There are a few things that point to this though - Bathersons play, the Vlad contract initially offered, that Dorion has already held talks about moving multiple players (ya I know he's a GM that's what he does). I could be 100% out lunch and I'll be very happy to be wrong.

What, Bathersons play where he was recovering from an ankle injury that takes time to fully come back from?
3 top 6 guys are not on this team long term. Our second line Center is mega injury prone. Our two best d after Sanderson are injury prone.
How many more losing seasons do you think tkatchuk has in him?

no way chabot is. he wasn't better last year and Sanderson is no rookie anymore.
Chychrun maybe but Sanderson is still the much superior talent and it will be this season that Sanderson clearly surpasses him.

Chychrun ain’t better than Sanderson lol. Dude is being overrated here.
I think some of you have extrapolated Snaderson's moments of composed play-driving much beyond what he actually did. Prospect potential bias. He was very consistent defensively, and showed way more composure with the puck than any other rookie. I mean, sometimes he'd evade offensive pressure wtih the sublest feint and drop backhand pass to an outlet, and it was sublime. He wasn't the best defenseman last season, though.

I could be wrong but I think chychrun is a good 1 but a great 2. Chabot has the creativity and I still think would excel with less minutes on his body. He has potential to be a good 1 and great 2 as well. Sanderson is great 1 potential. Like a poor man’s rob nedeymayer. Just a rover but responsible and looks easy. If he reaches that watch out. He could be.

I don’t think Chychrun is a top pairing guy and I don’t think he’s done anything in his young career to suggest he is. He’s a good 2nd pairing guy.
Sanderson and Chabot are the top pairing players on this team. The latter had a rough go last year and needs to be better.

Agreed with this totally (although it's Scott, not Rob Niedermayer).
Also need to add a caveat here. Sanderson had an epic rookie season...but every defenseman goes through a bit of sophomore slump in their second full season. Even HHOFers. We need to be prepared for him to have a few rough patches this winter and to allow him the grace to make a few mistakes and have some bad games as part of his learning curve.
This season could be wonky for Norris and Pinto as well. And who the hell knows how many games Chychrun will end up playing. And Chabot definitely needs a minutes reduction and a bit of a teardown and rebuild of his style of play, to learn how to get the most out of his (hopefully lesser amount of) minutes.

Nice to have a conversation about whos our best dman this year compared to our conversations last year about who can we get to play on our top 4 besides Chabot and Zub.

You don't think those close to NHL circles don't know who the players are? Especially with the NHL's side of the investigation done.
Chychrun is better offensively than Sanderson right now thats obvious. We have barely seen Sanderson ourselves outside of sheltered roles due to him being a 20 year old rookie and all. Going into the season I would have Chychrun above Sanderson but it can change.
