Maybe they’re just using this Ristolainen stuff as negotiation tactic to get Spence to accept their offerIn his latest article Garrioch reiterates Staios doesn't want to use #25 and that we're going hard after Ristolainen
The cardinal point calculator gives a much different figure for taxes in Ottawa. Nearly 8M vs. 6.8M in that one.According to this calculator its 16.1M in Ottawa.

Could be an optical illusion but why does the federal tax look higher for certain places within the US?This is what every team would have to offer to match that Seattle 15M offer according to JockTaxes (again, no clue how accurate this calculator is)

Watched a bunch of highlight vids, and he has a decent one timer and good vision. Surprised he hasn’t scored more tbh.I wonder if we plan to use Eklund on PP1 or we’re trying to acquire someone else that would play there.
On the other hand, he's definitely the type of player that deserves to be your highest paid player. He's that's good.Robertson would be great, but that’s a lot of cap for a team who’s trying to build a team with depth throughout the lineup. Even if he was willing to come here, it might make re signing upcoming players and making moves tough. Still would though.
Staios, tick tock my dude. Make something happen
When you factor in the backup goalie, Spence contract/some other RD, Giroux and that the Sens will probably leave ~5M of cap space I feel like we are gonna be looking at a 5-6M forward tops.
There are just so few RDs available. I don’t believe they want Risto that badly with his injuries and needing a new contract. Whitecloud would make a ton of sense but if not him they might not have a choice.I really don’t think they are signing Spence. He’s not long for this team.
lmao no not reallyBecause he’s not a midget. League is getting bigger and stronger
I don't think a 3-time 40 goal scorer in the prime of his career is going to have a hard time getting a job in the NHL.I really hope Robertson is left without a chair when the music stops.
maybe if he was a free agent. He’s not though, so I think that’s a million too much.$5.5 million for 4-5 years is a fair deal for Spence. It's not like he's asking for $6.5-7 million aav for 7-8 years smh.
Sign him staiost
Robertson will strong arm his way into one of the usual suspects
