So long as we aren't giving 25oa for him, I'd be fine with it. DeBrusk shouldn't cost a first, but the trades so far suggest maybe someone will pay that price.

Definitely don't want to pay what the Canucks will want for DeBrusk (likely #25+) but on the other hand this forward group is damn sexy:

It's really not that sexy lol. Both Ek and Debrusk are much better suited for the 2nd line, and Jake might even be more of a middle-6 guy at this stage of his career tbh. Dude has only reached 50 points once and that was 4 years ago.

I expect we'll get outbid for McTavish.

We could offer 25+Hensler, but teams like St. Louis (4 1st round picks) and Philly can offer more, and they will probably value McTavish as a potential solution at 2C more than we value him as a potential top 6 winger.
