Stars are not giving away Bourque just to dump Lyubushkin, and a Murphy-Lyubushkin bottom 4 RD woyld be atrocious. Especially with Zubs frequent encounters with injury.

Lybushkin is certainly not a great defender by most standards - the only way I see him moving is if Dallas adds considerably to the deal. Hence the idea that it would really be, take Lybushkin to get Bourque.

As for Murphy - the guy has demonstrated that he is a solid defender. The card for Zub is a couple years old but I don't imagine its changed much. Murphy's is last season.

That said, I'd be perfectly happy if Staios signed Spence to a 1 yr deal and Murphy to a 2 yr deal, and retained Matinpalo. Yak would be in line for call-ups through the season, and perhaps if there is a mid-season deal involving Spence and Yak is ready, a permanent call-up.

Toronto wants another top 10 pick, but 9th might be too low.

I suspect they'd be targetting one of the top D in the draft - someone who they were probably in love with before winning the lottery.

Utah needs right shot center. I wonder if Ottawa would have interest in Peterka (Stutzle connection) as a scoring winger. Utah also has Durzi (I’ve read Ottawa might want a right shot D) who they could move this summer. Could you guys see anything that might work in that? Utah also has the 19th overall pick. Wondering if there’s a way to make a right shot C to Utah happen with Ottawa.

ya he obviously has some connections having worked at sportsnet for a while but feel like he’s just giving his 2 cents rather than relaying info. But anyways we’ll see, offseason has gotten a lot more unpredictable now

I’m down for Robertson if he’s willing to sign and trade . We can’t acquire without a long term deal.

Hes expensive but he’s also an almost perfect winger for Stutzle and we continue to push being a playoff team
