They will struggle towards the end of the season at scoring goals if they go with as is.
Unless Jarry plays like the one time only glitched out play session of nhl 95 I had on my JVC X-Eye (Sega Genesis but made by JVC) where goalies got cloned into suped up turbo forwards that could warp check and shoot harder than Jesus.

Then Jarry will break ol 99's records and it's Stanley time.

That's a true story about my copy of NHL 95 btw

Baseball is cool if you could stay awake long enough to watch it.
Went to a local game the other day, literally the most boring thing I've done that was considered 'a night out'.
Coming from a guy who as a kid lived and breathed baseball.
Bucco's are still hard to watch..

lookin 4 ward to discussing that Eric Karlsson trade with everyone.
If Kyle Dubas cannot fix the 3rd line Looking forward for Pens fans booing him next lol..

The team is medicore anyway. People deluding themselves into thinking that we were one player away from being a contender are the mark ass marks of this website.

Anyhow, we trade for Karlsson yet?

People complaining about trading 2 1sts for Karlsson make me laugh. There is almost no chance that anyone the Penguins draft with their next 2 1sts are going to make any difference with the level of the team after Crosby and Malkin retire. You’re likely getting a complementary top-6 guy or a solid top-4 guy at best with that pick, but what does having a 23 year old guy like that when the rest of your team sucks?

The team does need to rebuild the farm to prepare for the future, but any individual pick the Penguins have isn’t going to change how bad they’re going to be after Crosby and Malkin retire. You still need to draft a new core with top end picks after Crosby and Malkin retire, and the team is just too good at this point to bottom out like that. They may not be a real contender, but they’re way too good to finish in a spot to get a future core piece.

They absolutely shouldn’t be trading any 1sts in 2026 or beyond. But 2024 or 2025? What is a 1st sitting between 13 and 20 going to do for the Penguins?

I want to discuss him and his pluses and minuses in ways that Google SEO will easily parse.

Please tell me how much we would like to trade for EK and also why brands come to mind when we mention “quality”, “price” and “mindf***ability”

i think you are obligated to try and get another cup with crosby and malkin still performing at this level and it almost definitely wont work but its indefensible to not to try

It’s way too much for Karlson. He had one good season compared to his prior four seasons. Last year was an outlier, not the norm.

Re-signing Jarry is the definition of not trying to compete for the cup.

Sure, but at what level does that turn into JR 2.0 with us throwing dumb amounts of assets at players that don’t really have any way of improving things?

I’d like EK from an entertainment standpoint but I in no way believe he’s going to make our coach and our mediocre roster into a contender.

There's exactly 2 teams in this race according to reports. The Sharks cap dump is the highest. They will not get 2 1sts.

I wonder what Dubas' backup plan is, if he decides that Grier is dragging this out too long, and when (if?) he is gonna shift focus.

60 and 70 points behind the Art Ross winner. Pittsburgh fans and management talk like they're still top 3 Forwards in the league, that give us this huge advantage over everyone else.
It's more like obligation due to nostalgia than anything reasonable.
