Trochek is a player who attacks the middle of the ice and creates a good amount of office in and around the net via speed, elusiveness, tenacity and tips. That will fit in well with a defensive core that should be good at getting the puck to the net

Drury literally watched Trocheck versus Copp for seven games less than two months ago. So did we. Decision was clear, we needed a center, not a wing. And he is the type of player Turk wants. Love this move.

Yeah, at a defensive resposible 3c in 5 years that cap-hit should still be worth it. Tbh, overpaying a bit in todays cap for long contracts might really pay off IF the cap goes to 100+ millions in 3-5 years as expected.

Trocheck should also be a way better fit with Panarin than either Copp or Strome. He's a much better goal scorer than either of them which should be a very nice fit with a top passer. He's also great on the PP and can take Strome's spot if they want to or he could help make PP2 actually competent if they want Laf on PP1.
