OT Taylor's contract is guaranteed for 2025. So, they are stuck with him or eating a boatload of dead cap to move off from him. Thuney, they need to basically convert most of the base salary into a bonus to lower the high $20 something mill cap charge to something closer to $20 mill or under.

They could have just traded him a while ago and invested the compensation into badly-needed help in the trenches but that would require actually investing in proper management.

Might just be to hold his rights to trade him. But, I personally don't like a team doing business this way. Tagging Higgins means Hendrickson their DE is going to hit free agency. A 2nd tag comes with 20% bump on the last one which was what like low $20's? So, this is a $25/26 mill contract?

Either pay the man on a long term deal or let the guy hit the market.

Banking everything on burrow and 2WR. Lose Hendrickson and the DL has limited pass rush. Think this ends up like KC and Snead where the hope is to deal him for a pick.

The franchise tag is such a BS rule to begin with but allowing players to be tagged a 2nd time is borderline criminal.

They had their window to go back to the Super Bowl. They blew it by being cheap, indifferent and not serious.

I'll never see a Lombardi in my life unless Brown croaks, the heirs sell the team, and we get serious owners for the first time since Joe Montana ripped my childhood heart out in Super Bowl XXIII.

The only thing that is a positive (kind of?) Is knowing there are others on this board whose teams are handcuffed by ownership issues so at least I'm not alone I guess?
