Yep, Jamie McLellan basically said the exact same thing on the GYD podcast last week. Other teams have figured out Skinner's weakness in net and exploiting it heavily. Can't imagine him in the playoffs where the Western teams best players are eager to feast on his glove side, rebound control, and slow lateral movement.
That sort of depends doesn't it on if you upgrade at forward or this toughness is only need once in a bit.

Functional toughness in Trent is great...but how do you afford a Goalie and a upgrade at D as well?
Normally I could provide a long list but what’s the point, Knob will just neuter any physical play and opt for pee wee stick checking. Better get a goalie and some ice packs, the injuries are going to pile up.

We all follow the NHL pretty closely and I’ve never heard another organization say “dollar in dollar out”. They get rid of contracts they don’t want. This “can’t afford it” bs is an excuse from an incompetent organization. Every other contender goes out and gets their guys. Don’t fall for it.
That's probably the reality unfortunately. I wish they can upgrade those areas.
