He's not wrong tbh

Strome is actually pretty good. It's Strome and Panarin together that's a problem.

Of course, you have to factor in that if Strome is on the Rangers, he's with Panarin. We have to take their toys away again.

Strome also doesnt defend or win faceoffs, which Trocheck does. And while Trocheck can be injury prone, how do we think Strome will age when he is putting off hip surgery for the sake of a long term contract?

Maybe one of these players will take a short term deal and test the market again when the escrow is paid off. All of these teams and agents know where teams and players are going. Malkin went back to Pittsburgh. Bergeron is playing next season. Those were two spots for Trocheck. Carolina is not bringing him back. They have Kotkaniemi. If you look around the league, there aren’t that many spots available.

Trochek seems too obvious... that's why I cant see it happening.

Drury will pull something out of his ass.. Karlsson or some Kadri voodoo

How much more rope is Chytil getting when Trocheck is better than Strome and will play a lot more? He played for Gallant. If he comes back, it won’t be out of sheer coincidence. He will be playing him as much as Strome.

He absolutely is better than Strome but Strome was married to Panarin and thst went a long way. I can absolutely see Chytil getting more o zone starts more ice time even flipping with trocheck at times as the season goes along. It’s just not the same as Strome or bringing in a star big money center

Fantastic possession player, responsible 200-foot game, good hands, tenacious on forecheck, injects more foot speed down the middle, a willingness to penetrate the middle, which will help Panarin. I love this.
He'll go soft after 5 games with Panarin and start over passing laterally.

Glad the smoke is cooling down on Kane.

That does absolutely nothing for us.

Another winger, another player who doesn't defend, another PP guy. Just never got that move.
I’d be into it at the deadline if we’re in contending position

Kane back to the Oilers for 4 years at $5.125m per. That's a great deal if he can keep his head screwed on right (big if)

I think he can. Sometimes it takes a major life event for a player to grow up. Young players like Kane often don't have anyone to teach them the ropes about money management and such. Combine that with his immaturity and we saw the result.
