Rangers have done nothing close to what Vegas has dude. Vegas is in this position specifically because Drury chose to pass on the Eichel deal. I still don’t get why people don’t trust this guy

I didn’t say they had, I just said let it be a lesson.

Man, Calgary offered 10.5x8 and he turned that down for 9.8x7. So he gave up SIXTEEN million dollars on this deal.

Seems like a lot especially when you’re taking less money to leave the only team you’ve ever played for that was a top 5 team in the NHL this season.

He must’ve really wanted to be back in the States.

I’m pretty sure Johnny can afford the hour flight from Philly to Columbus for his parents when they want to come out and see him, also gives him a buffer from all his friends at home, while still being close to home.

He must have hated Calgary

Have you seen their facilities and player amenities? They are worse than a lot of ECHL teams. Considering the tax differences and the fact the jackets are going to be on the rise I can see this. He can also just be himself without the media circus.

Incredible day for the Rangers
Incredibly bad. Drury spent 7 mil on Trocheck (7 years) and Halak while giving away a 2nd round pick to get rid of the previous awful contract he handed out last summer.

Strome, Copp, Vatrano, Motte all out and only Trocheck and his awful contract in.

Meanwhile our division rivals are actually improving their teams.

Within the span of several months Drury gave up a 1st, a handful of 2nds and we have what to show for it?

From my POV, Drury has made really good hockey decisions. But with that said, he is gambling a bit. He is trading away a lot of draft picks. We have zero flexibility under the cap. You know, we could pull it if. Not saying that we per automatic made a horrible decision. But if a kid a bit unexpectedly breaks out, if someone get long term issues with injuries, or what not, it will cost us a prime asset or a season. The upside aren’t super high either.

Impressive. Might be too 5 worst take I’ve ever seen on here and that’s saying a lot.

Trocheck is an improvement on Strome in every way and actually has what this team needs more of.

People were wailing last year too and then the team was two games away from the finals. Take a breath

It seems more and more like it's going to be a Patty Kane deadline addition after figuring out which young RW we can load off comfortably. Whoever is playing worse analytically, either Kravtsov or Kakko, will be traded for Kane. Expect it at this point. The chances of every young player breaking out and being an elite player at their respective position is still rather slim, and Kane is Kane. He's the guy that will get us over the hump in 2023

Kreider-Zibanejad-Kakko/Kravtsov
Panarin-Trocheck-Kane

dream top-6

That would be terrible. One of those kids for a Kane rental? If they are moved, which they shouldn’t be, it must be for a long term piece.

What? Of course the TDL acquisitions are gone, we knew we only had cap for one 2C signing in the 5-6 range.

What's funny is that Panarin turned down the extra year and money from Columbus in order to play here- now it gets paid forward to CBJ via another star player..

Columbus needs to clear space if they want to pay Laine. They have talked about a new contract but nothing has happened. I was watching a hockey podcast on YouTube. Del Zotto was a guest. They were talking about Columbus, Torts and Laine. DZ said Torts was tough on Laine because Laine was a lazy guy. It doesn't sound like Columbus loves Laine. They aren't close on a new contract. Columbus spends big money on a winger. Are they spending more big money on a winger? One dimensional player.

LOL good luck with that. 7 years for a 50 point player. Traded a 1st, several 2nds, lost Copp, Motte, Strome, Vatrano, and replaced them all with said 50 point player.

So you think we should have not made any TDL acquisitions this year?
