I'm sorry and I would never say this on the main board because I don't want to insult anyone, but there are several franchises that should be relocated and the Devils and Islanders are top-5 on that list. Just two completely pathetic franchises with small fanbases and no appeal.

Don’t think the isles fall into that bucket. Great new arena and the city can support 2 teams. Fair weather fans? Sure, but at least they show up when they’re good.

The devils? Yeah relocate their asses. They couldn’t sell out games when they made it to the finals in 2012.

Deal Chytil to Winnipeg for Logan Stanley.

Sign Järnkrok to a 2 year 2m deal.

Kreider-Ziba-Kravy
Laf-Trochek-Kakko
Panarin-Järnkrok-Blais
Reeves-Goodrow-Hunt
Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Trouba
Stanley-Schneider
Shesty
Halak

All those lines should be good, that D should be really hard to play against, bye bye losing the possession battle every night.

The Islanders aren't an NYC team. They're not a city team. They cater to a niche fanbase, i.e. Long Islanders.

Incredible day for the Rangers

What’s going on there with Gaudreau?

Calgary says last night this was a family decision which would suggest him going to a Tri state area team and he ends up in Columbus for less than what everyone expected?

I am unmoved by the entire Metro division. Pittsburgh might be the 2nd best team behind us solely because they brought back the same team

Maybe didn’t get the offers he thought he would. I mean Philly didn’t even try to get him

Vegas gave up Pacioretty and Coghlan for nothing, because cap.

Let it be a lesson to those telling us to make win now moves and worry about 3 years from now in 3 years.

Never ignore the future and never make a deal you aren’t winning. Those should be the cardinal rules that you almost always follow. Very few times should you make exceptions.

Maybe they just hated living in Calgary more than they wanted to live in/near NYC.

They were winning.

Really this could have been avoided if they just ignored Eichel.

Rangers have done nothing close to what Vegas has dude. Vegas is in this position specifically because Drury chose to pass on the Eichel deal. I still don’t get why people don’t trust this guy

It's a worse team than last year and an injury or two away from goodrow and or blais in the top 6.

I think they left the door open for othmann or Willy to make the team. Quite honestly they need one of them to make the team to establish anything resembling forward depth.

In what way is it worse than last year? You mean the team last year that broke camp or the post-trade deadline team?

I think this team is better than the team that started the year last year.

I wouldn't nap on Carolina but yeah, we're the clear top 2 imo.

To me it feels like they are tilting a bit, they rattled from not getting it done. Now it feels like they make moves just to make moves.

Honestly, from my POV, this has nothing to do with whether the players they had had “it”. They could easily have beaten us, but they didn’t. We weren’t a pushover. Tough luck. Play that series 5 times and they win 3. I think Carolina would have made it hard for Tampa, they had very good depth. We ran out of gas.

It’s always good when a rival tilts like this.
