Those are really good moves. In the McKegg thread I said I wanted another forward, a defender, and a goalie. All that's left is the goalie.Hartford signed Harry Zolnierczyk and Vincent LoVerde

They signed McCollum to an AHL deal as well. Those are really good moves. In the McKegg thread I said I wanted another forward, a defender, and a goalie. All that's left is the goalie.
And that finishes it. LOL.They signed McCollum to an AHL deal as well.
Seems like a big fall back plan from Aho, lol.Namestnikov to Montreal ? They are gonna have space
Zolniercyzk and McKegg in one day. Now we need El Nino (legit cannot spell his name, only name i have this problem with) and Clutterbuck.Hartford signed Harry Zolnierczyk and Vincent LoVerde
Sorry? I don't get it.Zolniercyzk and McKegg in one day. Now we need El Nino (legit cannot spell his name, only name i have this problem with) and Clutterbuck.
Everything you're asking for is very short sighted and fixated on winning this year.
If we don't move him, we have to sign a 29 year old to a UFA premium deal that will reach $8M+ which will hamper our ability to keep our big 3 or 4 together. See Toronto's cap hell.
We're not selling a guy just to sell a guy. We're trading him for valuable assets, prospect, picks, cheaper team controlled roster player and we offload some salary. Good for the future.
We added more in the last 30 days than ever before. Whatever dynamic Kreider brings, we can replace with similar or different attributes. Can't fall in love with what a single player brings and over commit.
Finished with rebuild doesn't mean we are going to start being reckless. Staal, Smith, Shattenkirk, and Lundqvist eating up $26M is not the starting point of winning a cup. Chytil, Andersson, Kravtsov, Fox, Kakko having 0-50 games in the NHL also isn't the timing when we're ready to compete. Let the cheesecake cool for 6 hours out of the oven before it's ready.
It’s just a bunch of funny names lolSorry? I don't get it.

I agree with all this except for the part that we're finished with the rebuild. We're just moving into another phase of it. Gorton said after we won the lottery that that was going to accelerate everything--in the meantime we have picked up Fox and Trouba (a young vet) and Panarin. But 6 1st rounders and Howden in three years-- a bunch of 2nd rounders + Hajek, Rykov and Lindgren. Even some of our later draft picks like Shestyorkin, Reunanen and Barron are really looking good. Next year we have 9 draft picks lined up and if the major piece we get back for Kreider is a draft pick that should be another 1st which could give us 8 in 4 years. It looks to me like the Rangers are all in on draft and development and we're going to have a ****load of ELC's and second contracts for the foreseeable future. There will come a time when we will have to start paying some of them but it probably ain't going to happen all at once and it doesn't mean we won't have other kids coming along to fight for jobs either.
Dude signed a one-year prove-it deal with Islanders, proved it enough to be a Vezina finalist, and now he's gone?![]()
Not into this at all.Would anyone be opposed to using Kreider to unload Smiths full cap hit?
Would Colorado take on Smith’s contract to substantially lower the purchase price on Kreider? Would we?
The Islanders were a bad team last year who had a flukey year and now their roster is even worse and outside of Barzal at forward mostly older players. They might be the worst team in the division.
