Kreider is done here. Sad to say that *looks at avatar*

Names has to be on the outs too. Smith can be buried, and so can Beleskey. Opens up ~1.8 million. I'd say Strome, but I think he has less value that Namestnikov.

Maybe we get shocked and Shattenkirk is moved after the RHD market clears up.
I would say Strome has more upside than Namestnikov. He had strong season with us. Can play center and wing.

Namestnikov has to be the next to go.

Hi popping in to ask a quick question regarding your situation.

With ~ 8.7M in cap space how are you expecting the Trouba, Buchnevich, and Lemieux contracts to unfold.

With Kravstov and Kakko likely coming in this year I would assume something has to give in your forward core or am I missing something?

Trouba will get $8 for 7 years I suspect--maybe a little less like $7.5.

Buchnevich $3.5 for two years--someone suggested 4 years--okay---another someone suggested 6 years at $4 and I would say no to that.

Tony D--$2.5 for two years.

Brendan Lemieux--1 or 2 years for $1.5.

So how to pay?---probably going to be moving Kreider for one---maybe buying out Brendan Smith as well and if we're really lucky we'll find someone to take on Kevin Shattenkirk. Namestnikov also could get moved. Moving Kreider would bring back the best return--I expect he will get a 1st + which for all those unhappy that the 'rebuild' is over is a move that keeps that rebuild going. We'll see though. But anyhow you look at the Rangers roster will be a lot stronger next year with Panarin and Trouba........and Kakko and probably Kravtsov, Fox and maybe Shestyorkin too.

Winnipeg maybe. Trouba and Myers out. Shatty and Pionk in

Theoretically, if Carolina is not sure they want to match the offer sheet, could they look to trade Aho for a better package than the 1st + 2nd + 3rd Montreal would give up and then acquiring team could match that offer sheet?

Basically, could the rangers trade for Aho and match that offer sheet in the next week

It was posted earlier that they cannot trade him.

Nope. It's either match or don't match. No other options.

The player can't be traded during the 7 day period their team has to match. If Carolina matches, they can't trade him for a year either.

Shatty just didn't work out here. He was always kind of a reach as a first pairing D though and last year IMO it should have been him as #1 RD not Neal Pionk. He was the guy making the big $'s but for some reason that didn't happen. To me that's kind of telling.

He’s taking his summer training this year pretty serious after completely being past his injury, I would be expecting a bounce back year. Hopefully rebuilding his trade value.

I'd keep him and give him sheltered minutes as the third RD.
