It's a great deal for the Devils. They have plenty of cap this year, and with Hall / Hughes / Subban, should have a pretty potent powerplay. Simmonds parked in front of the net could have a pretty solid season.

We actually should. EVERYONE should stop signing TOP free agents since it doesn't produce results. I went back 20 years so far and didn't see ONE Cup winner with a free agent as their top paid/producing player.
