From the start of this season Edmonton Journal had him as their #4 prospect and his scouting report sure sounds like backfill for a Carlo sized hole on the right side of the defense.

Probably a Peeke sized hole. He's not remotely close to filling Carlo's role.

if Freddy was healthy, still not convinced anyone hands the B`s a first for the same reasons, Freddy is a tough guy who rarely plays tough , a guy with decent hands but isn`t consistent enough, he`ll wind up signing in St. Louis in the offseason, good deal by Sweeney here

sure is, for a team who consistently took themselves out of the draft`s early rounds for years as they were in the go for it mode, solid move, got the 2nd round pick this year, I go hard for Cole Reschny but I`m a super biased Vic Royals fan having watched him play likely all but 6/7 games this year at home

There recent seconds are Lohrei who’s going to be spectacular in a year or two as he gains experience- and poitras who’s not able to legally drink and I love his game - probably 2 years away from being a second line but it’s there

Pelosi I love as well - hoping when I go with @Saxon Eric to the NCAA in Manchester we see Quinnipeac

Two hits, jury out on two. Beecher, Frederic, Carlo were also all hits based on where they were picked, and there are others. He’s done okay.

Yes but let's see if that pick is still Bruins property come draft day. Until the deadline ends Friday it won't be certain whether Sweeney has shifted to the future and drafting or... will the newly available cap space and other assets be used for a "hockey trade" this week. I won't place a bet on this until we see what the next move looks like.

With you there friend, might be a bit of a bumpy retool but like today`s move and as you alluded to , Poitras and Lohrei are going to be big parts of this future.

Since it has been made clear to play Lohrei 58 minutes a night, loving his game, a true risk/reward dude, some of the things he does with the puck you just can`t teach, both the good and bad :)
