Good speed and a guy who looks to shoot, whats not to like? How many goals does he have if he was playing in Hunt's position all year?

Vatrano's had years where the underlying metrics are poor, but he's had other years where they've been really good. I think a change of scenery and a regular role will do a lot for him. The fact that he's a head-down, shoot first type might've been a weakness in some respects but on this team, I think it could turn into a real asset.

Seems like one of Drury’s first good moves. Don’t know much about the player but he sounds decent, and we didn’t give up much.

Maybe Buch trade wasn't good value but I like additions of Hunt, Goodrow, Reaves, and Gallant. This was an excellent move.

I think the thing is that on a deep team like Florida, yeah he was pushed down the lineup and scratched occasionally

The Rangers are not a deep team, so they can use a depth player

e: I was also thinking, IF Chytil can just stay healthy and not have to carry a line by himself with a bunch of stiffs, he can certainly be a big part of a solid 3rd line that provides some scoring. It's just that he seems to get injured every time he starts to play well, and he's been on lines where it's just been a collection of parts without a clear identity.

Chytil-Vatrano-Goodrow could be a solid 3rd line to provide some secondary scoring.
