When will Team USA finally realize how overrated Faber is? I read it often enough here.

Gonna bet that he'll end up playing most of the important minutes in some of the bigger games.

lol. I don't beleive for a second Drew would drop the gloves and fight. If he did, it would end up like when Carter fought someone on Pitt (forgot who) -- that was embarrassing for him.

And I also think he was deterred by getting amped up enough to go all David-vs-Goliath on thornton before realizing OH SHIT JOE IS LEFTY OH GOD

But maybe he will go with Matt because he's kind of a shitty fighter of similar size himself, it'll be one of those undercard lightweight fights where neither guy is playing a lick of defense and the first guy to land a shot on the button wins

To be fair, Biz put him on the spot and Doughty isn't going to say "No. I would not fight him."

Doughty would do just fine. He's bigger and stronger.

Pasta fought him last year. M. Tkachuk is not an amazing fighter by any means. Doughty could just wrestle with him and not throw punches. That's what has been so frustrating for me: Doughty would be just fine if they ever fought so it is ridiculous that he didn't do so back when their "rivalry" was going on.

I'm not doubting his competitiveness, but I will never be okay with how he handled that situation. Set the tone for the "turn the other cheek Kings" we've been seeing during Bluc's tenure.

I know how it's how tournaments work, but I think it's lame that the USA has to beat Canada twice to win, but Canada only has to beat the USA once to win it all.

That said, it's going to be a great game and it's so much better than watching an All-Star game (so is a kick in the nuts, but you get my point). I'm also glad that we only have two players in the tournament. Seeing all these guys getting injured is scary and I'd be pissed if Kempe and (to a lesser extent) Doughty missed the rest of the season and playoffs because they participated in it.

Godamnit Drew you'd better not drop the gloves, I'm pretty sure M. Tkachuk hurt his hand during his fight. Quinn Hughes coming back would be crazy, I'd be freaking out if I were a 'Nucks fan right about now. Thursday's game has all the makings of an instant classic.
