Is there even going to be a game now on Thursday or is it going to be cancelled due to bitching about who can and cannot play between fans?

Feels like the focus has been changed from hockey to organizational politics

I died laughing, I’m not too partisan but Canada has to win tomorrow night after such a motivating verbal evisceration…

BB:Brady, he’s more like Keith Tkachuk, his father. Matthew, he’s an excellent hockey player, I’d take him with Montréal, but when he has a real fighter in front of him, because there it was premeditated (against Canada) and he spoke to Hagel in the warm up,

LB: it’s from yesterday that, its sometimes that….

BB: NO! I made a montage. When has a real tough guy in front of him, when he was playing against Edmonton, when he was playing against Kassian and it was going to get tough, it wasn’t someone like Hagel, look what he does, he tries to get out of there, then it’s time to drop the gloves and OOHHH MY POOR TURTLE MATTHEW, EH? But with Hagel he tries to rip his head off, that’s Matthew Tkachuk. Excellent hockey player, but not able to put out the fires he starts. And that’s why Hagel said, I did it for the cameras…

GD: For the flag you mean

BB: I did it for the flag, him, he did it for the cameras. He tries to take on the smallest guy (on Canada). And that’s why Canada will win Thursday

What is the vibe in La Belle Province for this game?

It's time to rally together and circle the wagons in the great white north.

LeBrun had a column a few days ago and interviewed Pronger and he said something mildly related to this final. Obviously he won gold medals against USA at both the 2002 and 2010 Olympics, and he has said a few times that 2010 was somewhat bigger (Iginla has said the same). Pronger recently said that a factor in making 2010 bigger was that it was a rematch and he thought that the US players had swelled heads based on the first game. Whether that is true or not I hope that Canadian players use it as motivation, Jordan style.

Yes, Matthew is a rat. It has been well known in his career he will only pick fights he thinks he can win. Woulda loved to see Wilson out there.

Miller got absolutely cooked against Parayko too.

Canada lost their first round robin game in 2002 and 2010. Canada always has some sort of adversity. In 2014 they won but a lot of close scores. It’s not easy. This game might go to OT

I actually like Helly.. I've never loved Binnington but I respect the choice to start him. The next time Helly wins a truly big game will be the first time. So let's see if he can do that on Thursday. It will be a fascinating watch.
Yup.
Like him as well.
However his playoff record is a big shite show (18-27)
Last year was a disaster (1-4, 5.23 ga)
He'll like win another Vezina but his play in playoff games where he needs to be clutch...questionable.

Some say about Binnington....what have you done lately (although playing for subpar teams)?
Hallebucyk aside from the regular season, what have you ever done in playoffs or clutch games?:boredom:
Still remains to be seen.

Cue comments like: Ya, they should bench Hallebucyk

Overtime favours Canada, as Canada has the most clutch overtime hero currently in hockey. Mighty Mitch Marner.
