Imagine being a center and you walk in to the tryout for team Canada and the first three you see are Crosby, McDavid and McKinnon.

Then u accept trying for the 4th line and Point comes on the ice lol

Having finally just finished watching Canada-Sweden, I think that first line (Reinhart-McDavid-Marner) is lacking some sandpaper. And some people have mentioned the redundancy of Marner & McDavid on the same line, which might also be true.

I'd like to see what a guy like Crosby or Point could do up with McDavid.

Give Marner another period or so to see if he displays some chemistry with McDavid, but I’d like to see him and Point flipped.

I have a feeling it would be like a hard scrimmage. Competitive, yes. Likely less pointless scrums, no fights and no "taking a guy out" checks.
I doubt there will be anything close to a NHL playoff atmosphere.

Still on the fence to watch or not. If games turn into 11-9 crapola scores then meh...I'll watch Curling instead with my wife.

1. I would have split up Marner and McDavid. We don’t have time to develop chemistry.

2. I would have brought Bennett in but not at the expense of Konecny which cancels it out to some extent. Maybe Cirelli instead.

3. I would have gone with Hill over Binnington.

I would like to see McDavid with Mack and Crosby with Marner, I think the raw speed of Mack and McDavid will be too much and the cerebral play of Crosby and Marner together will be great to watch.

It's a good thing I guess Canada can't decide what its first line is. MacKinnon/Crosby +1. Or McDavid and the best of everyone else. Feels like the coach thinks it's McDavid. It must be hard to choose as an opponent who you play your best defensive pairing against.

Team Canada management love Binnington and unfortunately are totally biased towards him. Start Hill, he doesn't need to stand on his head, he just can't let in any softies.

It's his level of play right now that matters.
