I actually like Helly.. I've never loved Binnington but I respect the choice to start him. The next time Helly wins a truly big game will be the first time. So let's see if he can do that on Thursday. It will be a fascinating watch.

I believe that he and Cirelli were over-utilized by Cooper, especially before Finland, but the guy always plays hard and deserves credit.

Do you work for the NHL? They may as well let him play, since they clearly didn't think things through. He's possibly USA's best defenceman and if he is healthy enough to play, why not? It's different if this event actually did have firm, defined, well thought out rules.
