Yeah the Werenski PP criticism was that he was not able to feed the players (that certain right-shot winger) on the left side that well. I still don't think he can. But Werenski is good at getting the puck to the net, and generally being a calming presence. The current CBJ PP is better with him in it, but the CBJ PP at the time was not better with him in it (well we didn't really have great options if Boqvist was the runner-up).

Anyhow happy that Werenski got 3 points last night. Otherwise not very happy with the result. :D

Absolutely true. Z wasn't good on the PP. Now he is. And that is a good thing.

Interesting article on TA regarding the fact there are just four nations competing. Next year at the Olympics it will include more countries (probably minus the Soviet Union Russia again). Sounded like Pasta wanted Czechia included in this 4-Nations tourney. But the current NHL number breakdown is Canada (385), USA (278), Sweden (92) and Finland (50) and then Czechia (29). Article did not mention how many Russians.

There is no Soviet Union, Herb.

I just hope the players understand that it is not directed at them personally but at others who are extremely poor decision makers.
I understand but c’mon these guys have nothing to do with it. It’s Hockey not politics and this is everyones outlet to get away from all the day to day crap.

I mean that sort of reaction is essentially the point, so... no reason for anyone to be surprised or salty about it. "These guys" have as much to "do with it" as anyone else. Perhaps even more.

Sucks, but that's the world we live in. Better get used to it.

Hopefully it's not lost on you that you're saying politics doesn't belong in hockey while bringing this exact subject of discussion here, to a hockey message board. Personally I'd rather you hadn't but here we are. Though it's barely even politics at this point, anyway

Whelp looks like this is gonna be a thing from here on out unless its a newness factor...then again people love their nationalism which is why the Olympics are so popular.

Sidebar: I saw Habs fans are being Habs fans again after that temper tantrum by Laine. I know you don't want to burn resources but that 2nd to get rid of him is starting to look like quite the steal...

In theory, I wanted to sleep. Practical I have two cats here who are getting used to each other, (today I brought my 3 month old + I still have a 10 year old) so I feel like I won't sleep and I'll be able to see Zach.

So USA and Zach - lets'go! 🇺🇸
