It was the same for Canada, Theodore got hurt, so they had to put the 7th D Sanheim in to replace him, they could only play Thomas when Makar was not available, he could not even practice at the same time Makar was on the ice. I think the rules are stupid and they should have allowed for bigger rosters.

Canada got the exemption for Harley because they lost Theodore in the opener, then lost Makar for a game. They legit wouldn't be able to ice a full defense without it.

McAvoy getting hurt only elevates Sanderson which leaves them still with a full 6. Hughes can travel with the team but he can't dress/play unless someone else gets hurt between now and thursday.

...Wouldn't be shocked if Sanderson mysteriously came down with the flu in the next 48 hours.

Try aren't bringing Hughes in to watch a game. They will do what they have to.

I hope Charlie will be okay going forward. This tourney has been more exciting (minus last night) then the Bruins season.


Hopefully Thursday we get a USA win. And I think this should absolutely, 100 take the place over the all star game. This is the way forward.

This shoulder is going to be and issue rest of McAvoys career is a good bet.I said from day 1 somebody will go down and of course it's a Bruin.Worst luck franchise in NHL history .

I always think when a player plays in a tournament like this they are flirting with disaster. If I were Sweeney, I would have added a clause in their contracts that there are no extracurricular activities allowed. I know in this case that he wound up being the GM, but Neeley should have put the same restriction in Sweeney's contract. Too much money at stake for players and management to be distracted from their Bruin goals. The players need to be bubblewrapped and Sweeney needs to concentrate on his team and the deadline.
