Great win for team USA! Bruins well represented,McAvoy had a Strong game so did Marchy Would have gave the player of the game to Larkin, Heelebuyck or Slavin but Guentzel did alright too.
Marchand barely played at 8:23...

None of the Americans forwards had that great of a game. And that's great news
You act like the other team is not out there trying to prevent them from having good games .

Marchand ain’t a difference maker on this team. He’s Canada’s version of Brock Nelson.
Marchand quality or level of play at this stage of career is a role player on a team like this Canadian team,

Should have had Wilson on the team over him.

I don't see how they weren't "on their games" on any collective level. They beat Canada. You don't the best NHL players from fricking Canada by not being on your game. They kept the dangerous opportunities to a minumum (via a disciplined, hard checking style for 60 full minutes) against an absolutely insane opposing lineup. I was beyond impressed with how the Americans could play that kind of game at that pace with what amounts to almost no practice together. It was the Canadians that were finding themselves out of position more often than the US.

Did the US fly up and down the ice all game long? No. But that's not because they weren't on their game. That's because they played Canada.
