People like to bash the guy for defensive errors, while he sits at + 21 and is all world dynamite in big games.I gotta say..
I think it’s absolutely absurd Evan Bouchard was seemingly not even considered for this team.
He would look very good out there.
He didn't have a good first three games of the season when the team was apparently selected, prior playoff performance be damned.I gotta say..

Bennett was the only player taking body and he has decent skill. Hyman and Scheifele sure, a big no on Bedard he is a defensive hole and one of teh biggest cherry pickers in the league. I would take Celebrini before Bedard.Hyman, Scheifele and Bedard should be here over Cirelli, Jarvis and Bennett
Tom Wilson shouldve been here over all 3 of those players.Bennett was the only player taking body and he has decent skill. Hyman and Scheifele sure, a big no on Bedard he is a defensive hole and one of teh biggest cherry pickers in the league. I would take Celebrini before Bedard.
Crosby will 100% be on the Olympic roster and probably be the captain. In the Olympics, I wonder about Crosby. He made the massive play at the end, and has shown flashes, but has also looked his age at times. I wonder if he's the 13th forward for that team.

Easily should be in over Travis fn Sanhiem man
Hes better than Sanhiem at every aspect of hockey, but Canada wants to take a safe route and eek out games. Oh well
Bennett is none of those things. I understand wanting Bennett to be those things, but he doesn't belong on this team. I also get you guys hate Bedard, for some reason, but he's really good.Bennett was the only player taking body and he has decent skill. hahaha, yes of course, this nonsense.Makar is 1PP, so Canada would be taking Bouchard for 5v5 play. There are many safe, two way dmen, who still move the puck at a high level. I think Bouch will be in tough to make the Olympics for the same reasons imo.
- Brian Burke "Bouchard helps both teams win the game"The game in Toronto 100% got Bouchard cut from Team Canada and if there was any doubt, things like the last Colorado game just double downed on it.
He has to make his mistakes be less glaring.
I will say you are right with Bedard. He's a very smart player and an elite playmaker. He'd play very well on a team with good players. I'd prefer him over Marner.Bennett is none of those things. I understand wanting Bennett to be those things, but he doesn't belong on this team. I also get you guys hate Bedard, for some reason, but he's really good.

He apparently has an upper body injuries/infection? Strange, but yes a huge break.I just wanted to say again that I thoroughly enjoyed EP40's performance at the 4 Nations.

There's a break for Canada.

- Brian Burke "Bouchard helps both teams win the game"
Bouchard wasn't even on the short list after Pietrangelo went down. Like it or not he just isn't viewed by managers and coaches as a top guy in this league.
Yeah, but your a dipshit with a personal problem with Bouchard utterly devoid of reality. That's a you problem.- Brian Burke "Bouchard helps both teams win the game"

It really does seem like hockey Canada stopped considering people by mid November and had the team picked that early. Because some guys fell off from a hot start and still made the team while some guys who had bad 3 games to start the season had it held against them.He didn't have a good first three games of the season when the team was apparently selected, prior playoff performance be damned.
