It needed to be said. That reffing was a joke, I don't care which side gets the calls as long as the goonish behaviour is kept in check.

Pathetic. The Toronto media is insufferable. Really trying to drum up a narrative to distract from Kadri.

Try for a moment to look at this objectively. Nobody thinks that Kadri shouldnt be suspended. The Bruins lost three guys, both sides are hurt by this. The Bruins outplayed the Leafs and deserved the win, but the refs clearly didn't address the situation when the game got ugly. That's their job, they didn't do it.

Leaf fans like physical hockey too. The honerism is tiresome. This nonsense is hurting both teams.

There were two powerplays in the entire Tampa vs Cbj game I saw despite the hooking and interference everywhere.

I think it's too easy to blame the individual refs. Blame the league and also the director of officiating (Stephen Walkom). They want dead puck era hockey and don't understand the importance of high goal-scoring.
Just curious as to what is “the importance of high goal-scoring”?

I agree the officiating was not great. But let's not act like it's the first time refs have decided to let both teams play.

The Toronto media is just not letting it go.

I will say that it’s quite literally only hurting one team and it’s not Toronto

Bruins gonna be down two defenseman and possibly Debrusk. The fact that it’s the Toronto media crying is both laugh out loud funny and possibly the most pathetic display I’ve ever seen from a group of “professionals”

If acciari threw the hit that was thrown on Krug we would be subjected to a million think pieces on if boarding is actually worth time in jail. I’m only half joking- that’s the sad part

Why does everyone assume that just because someone is from Ontario that they're biased? Or that everyone that shows even a remote sense of support for something that involves the Leafs is a homer? Toronto is one of the most populated metro areas in the continent...not everyone is a Leafs fan.

Maybe this guy just happens to have an opinion about the series. Why is he whining for having an opinion? And a totally earned opinion at that. My goodness.

Yet here we all are talking about their article...they're a business and their business is in eyeballs and ad revenue. They're succeeding.

So when Kadri cross-checked DeBrusk in the face as a retaliation for another questionable hit on Patrick Marleau that went uncalled, it was the result of a player who’s frustrations had boiled over. It was inexcusable. But at the same time, can you blame him? The referees had let the game get out of hand.

LOL YES. Yes, you can blame him for cross-checking a guy in the face. The refs letting the game get out of hand is no excuse for that.

Did he make mention to any calls they missed against the Leafs?
Or were they angles that game cuz they do nothing wrong ever?

Only thing you should buy the sun for is the sunshine girl anyway.

And Leafs fans say that Jack Edwards is biased. We can agree calls were missed but when you only quote those against Toronto it reeks of homerism and not journalism

There was the high-stick on John Tavares; the elbow from Jake DeBrusk that bloodied Travis Dermott; and the knee-on-knee hit that DeBrusk delivered on Nazem Kadri. All of them went uncalled, as referees Trevor Hanson and Brad Meier turned a blind eye and let the players mete out justice on their own.
In the process, they let the violence escalate. And made an embarrassment of a league that is supposedly concerned about a player’s safety.
So when Kadri cross-checked DeBrusk in the face as a retaliation for another questionable hit on Patrick Marleau that went uncalled
