You clearly became an NHL fan last week.

Apparently this is an old Mark Messier quote that Mactavish would like to use as advice to the current Oiler team whom he feels is getting outplayed by the Canucks.

Does anyone know what it means or stands for? I dont get the metaphor or the euphemism.

For one, the Oilers lower lines/pairs have not been selling their bodies to make plays.
