I think Moser is less physical and might not have a bomb from the point, but his hockey IQ seems high and he doesn't make you scratch your head, ever, as opposed to every couple of games. I like having Moser on the team and I wasn't sure whether Serg's net presence last year was positive or negative due to his propensity for brain farts.
Well when it comes to Serge, just about every point of view was truthful. For every brain fart he had some great thing he'd do that made you forget. He could have moved to wing and there would be no knock on his brain farts vs great moments. Problem is he is a defender

Sergachev is Utah's best player and the notion that he can't play defense is, and has been, utterly ridiculous. It was very obvious for a few years that he would go on to become a true #1 horse in the NHL eventually, it's no surprise at all to see him logging 25+ and succeeding now.

Moser is a pretty quiet, soft & steady d-man who has done fairly well for TB, but he is multiple tiers below Sergachev as a player. Geekie is the big prize here imo.

All true. The biggest plus was the caps saving. I'm glad Sergachev is succeeding. It would feel like a loss if the dude was miserable and failing but I'm glad he's doing well.

We got a 24 year old defenseman who plays 20+mins a night at <3.5M while in our cup window and the prize is Geekie? Give your head a shake. The prize here is getting someone at less than half the cost of Sergachev and is better in the role, Geekie is a plus down the road.

Moser is not better "in the role" whatever that means. Repeating the same nonsense over and over again doesn't make it true. The fact is that Tampa with Mcdonagh, Moser and Geekie is the same 0.500 team as last season with Sergachev who barely even played. And the cup window is closed, at least until more significant changes happen starting with the head coach.

Except it is true but yes continue to ignore the contract as well. They're the same? clearly not, goal differential is significantly better. Too many crybabies this early in the season.

Serg looks amazing on highlights and on paper. Watching him day and and day out and noticing all the warts is a different story.
Pretty much this. I buy that he can be the best player on a bad team. But man, he could be frustrating here.
