I'd be fine with this trade working out for both sides. The early returns are definitely working out for us. It almost feels greedy to say we could still get a middle sixer with that 2025 2nd rounder.

Though I will reiterate what my initial concern with trading Serge was - I don't know who in the system could reasonably replace Hedman or even McD in a couple years. Number 1's aren't commonly available for trade or in free agency. As we saw with Serge (who wasn't even established as a #1), you have to trade a lot.

The biggest problem with Sergachev is he wasn't that guy either. But he was being paid like it.

I think the reality is replacing Hedman will require a rebuild. Almost impossible to just come up with a #1D mid-run.

Andrej Šustr ends in agreement with the club in Dynamo

Andrej Šustr is no longer a Dynamo player. The 33-year-old defender, who strengthened the Pardubice organization at the end of July, is saying goodbye to the club by mutual agreement. "Andrey is a fair and honest boy. He proved to be a pro with excellent training morale. Unfortunately, it did not fit perfectly here, which both sides felt,” comments the club’s sporting director Petr Sýkora.
Andrej Šustr did his extra-league debut at the age of 33 in the Pardubice jere. For Dynamo, he managed to play 16 games in the top competition, scoring 4 Canadian points for a goal and 3 assists. He added another 6 competitive starts and 5 assists in the red and white in the Champions League. Now Šustr and Pardubice are saying goodbye. He and the club agreed to close his contract early this morning.

"Andrei is a fair and honest boy. He proved to be a pro with excellent training morale. Unfortunately, it didn’t sit well here, which both sides felt. I am glad that we were able to deal with everything well and agreed on a solution. I wish Andy good luck in his future engagements and I thank him for the services done for Dynamo,” commented the end of cooperation with the high party club sporting director Petr Sýkora.

What are Canadian points? Are they like arcade tickets? Is that how Czechia does it?

They had different point counting system. Only primary assist counted, secondary assist were not counted. They changed it recently (10 years ago or so). The writer is probably used to the old system so he/she called the new system - Canadian.
