Mike White went to the red zone what, five or six times against the Vikings? 0 TDs. The Vikings have one of the worst pass defenses in the league. Coming off of the Chicago drubbing, people expected White to throw bombs on that pitiful secondary. Afterwards, all we hear are the excuses. Here's a fun stat: In 14 games this season, only two teams failed to throw at least 1 TD pass against the Vikings D. Green Bay and the Jets. But hey, Mike White almost threw a TD against a secondary that has been the league door mat all season.

Yeah, 4 of his interceptions were against Buffalo. Two more were against NE. That's the difference between being the starter and being a 3rd string backup. Starters have to play the good AND the bad teams.

And I'm sorry, but a guy who loses both games, throws no touchdowns, and throws two interceptions didn't "do just fine" against Buffalo and the Vikings. He threw for a lot of yards. Guess what? Wilson threw for a lot of yards against Detroit. He threw for a lot of yards in the first NE game. Still got roasted, and Wilson actually got some TDs against those teams. Yards mean nothing if they don't generate points. Against good defenses, White has shown no ability to generate points.

Does he deserve more opportunity? Maybe. But not as "the" guy for a team that sees itself as a potential contender. He'll be 28 years old next season. The odds of him taking any sort of giant leap from what he's shown thus far is highly improbable.

If the Jets want to be a contender they need to get/develop a good quarterback. Not a "good for the Jets" QB, but a good one. I sometimes feel like our fanbase forgot how to tell the difference because it has been ages since one wore a Jets jersey. If healthy, Mike White should finish the season. Give him the chance to showcase himself and possibly pick up a job as the #1 for a bottom barrel team. If he can't go, maybe let Flacco have one last hurrah. But neither is the long-term answer here (well, neither SHOULD be. But this is the Jets, so they will probably sign MW to a massive contract only to have the fanbase recognize what should have already been obvious, and turn on him by week 3 in favor of a new 5th round draft pick, haha).
I don't think people are sold that Mike White is 'the answer.' I think they're just tired of Wilson and are sold that he isn't. I'd rather see Mike White play at this point. That doesn't mean I think Mike White is riding in on his white horse to save the franchise. I'm pretty sure next years Jets QB isn't on the team right now. If it were me, I'd completely rebuild the QB room. Sign a vet and draft a midround QB and take a shot at development.

I know Jets fans and probably the coaches are done with Wilson but I have never seen a #2 pick fall so far so fast. It cant just be his play which has been bad. Other young QBs have played just as bad over the years. I think like Mac Jones some people just do not like his attitude (along with his play).

Because he hasn’t shown even a flash of ability in 2 years, at least Darnold showed glimpses of why he was drafted so high, Wilson has not had a single moment like that, and unlike Darnold you can’t even blame the Jets for ruining him, aside from the fact they gave him the starting job too soon .

No reasonable Jets fan thinks Mike White is the future. Fans have been clamoring for him because the team was teetering on the verge of the playoffs and he is the best QB on the roster. Low bar but true. Fans are rightfully sick of Wilson, who appears to have no redeemable qualities and who by all appearances his teammates hate playing for him. If it weren’t so clear he has no future in the league I would say let him run out the schedule for the reps, but the last two games are better spent determining whether to re-sign White.

Eh, If Mike White was a few years younger, it'd be more of a debate if he'd be the future or not. Age is what he has going against him really.

I think Zach has ability in his arm. I think that is why he was drafted so high but his throws are so erratic. Some are great and some are like what are you doing. I have seen a little of that in Justin Fields as well but Fields has better mechanics. I think Zach's 3 biggest issues are his ability to read a defense, consistent throwing mechanics, and for some reason the coaches/teammates are not thrilled with him personally. I think the last one is the biggest dagger in his Jets career.

I will say Garret Wilson is great but I think he also needs to be told to cool it on the field. He should not be showing his QB up out there. That is not good for building a team.

I do not know if Mike White is the answer. It would be a cool story though and I would root for him. Kind of reminds me of when Jets fans got excited about Pat Ryan decades ago after Pat replaced Ken Obrien.

Need NE to lose one of the next two (they play MIA and BUF).

NYJ obviously need to win out. If White isn't ready, who's QB on Sun vs SEA?

Wilson with I would guess a heavy dose of Strevler.

Flacco should just be cut at this point, he wants no part of the field.

Wilson is done here. No way should he be playing another snap for the Jets, especially this season.

He is, but if Mike White can’t play, he’s sadly the best option.

Flacco is a corpse, and Strev can’t throw the ball, he’s fine to use a bunch though so you get as less Zach as possible.

So I was just checking out tankathon
I can see QB's going 1,2 and even 3
I dont know what Seattle would do there. And even Detroit. But I dont see them moving off of Goff
Cards-maybe
Colts yes
Falcons-yes
Panthers-yes.
The Jets are simply have to shop the FA market and or make a trade. This team has way too much talent right now thats still cheap.
The Giants are stuck with Jones and hopefully they can put some better talent around him. Hes never gonna make them better or be more than what he is.

Nathaniel Hackett shaping up to be one of the worst coaches ever in NFL history. He has taken away everything Wilson was ever good at, shotgun and deep throws
I have seen a player or 2 openly making fun of or confronting Russell. Something is going on there.

He's the first non-interim head coach to last less than one season in franchise history. He couldn't Hackett.

This is going to be an interesting situation to follow. DEN has the owners to throw crazy contracts around to potential coaches. But, most importantly, you need to find someone who can get the most out of Wilson. You're not getting out of that contract any time soon, so going to have to make the most of it. SEA felt Russ's mobility was going downhill and jumped ship. This hiring is going to be crucial for this offense.

I don't think Payton will be interested in this job. He's reportedly trying to get Fangio as his DC. Steichen is going to be a hot name this cycle. Whoever they hire is going to need to be a believer that they can get the most out of Wilson. I'm not totally sold this guy is done just yet.

Getting embarrassed like that on Nickelodeon had to be the final straw...

As for the Jets, so glad White is cleared to play. I never want to see Zach Wilson on the field or even in uniform again. He sucks and he completely lost the trust of his teammates. White may not be the future, but he's the Jets' best chance right now, and his teammates love him. They need to sign a good veteran QB in free agency, and focus on O-Line in the draft.
