I think that I'd put it at a 25% chance that the Giants take a QB tonight.

So, not a huge chance but certainly wouldn't surprise me. You have to think that Daboll is drooling over Willis.

I'd also consider Pickett at 36 if he falls. Would remind me of when the Jets had grabbed Pennington (granted, he was a mid first rounder). A guy who can be an above average QB for 15 years.

I just can't understand that pick at #1. I understand the perceived upside, but man...how often does a guy with mediocre production but crazy tools end up working out with a pick that high?

i mean he wasnt really asked to pass rush in that defense. he was a big part of a powerhouse defense that won the NC.

I understand, but he's a guy who has one season of production and at the NFL level he's going to be asked to get the QB, and he hasn't really shown a proclivity to do that. Not saying he can't or won't, but for me at #1 I want not just tools but also a track record of success.

Fine by me. You still have Ikey or Neal to pick from at 7. I just hope Thibs' tools translate to the next level.
