Why did Detroit go for it on 4th and 3 on the SF 30 instead of kicking the field goal? That's going to cost them the game.

Going for it on 4th was a fine decision. A 47 yard FG is only like 70-75% anyway and it was a short 4th down. The far more egregious decision was choosing to run the ball on 3rd and goal and then wasting a timeout when it didn't work. Pretty much all of the analytics say going for it on that 4th and 3was better there but that it's really about a toss up.

I had no rooting interest in either game so it was an awesome day of games.

I almost want to see Taylor win the bowl to see how mad people get for no reason.

I could maybe stomach her (Highly doubtful) if she rooted for another team.

Granted, yesterday the Ravens played dirty, but still, f*** the Chiefs and Mahomes.

A few guys calling Mahomes the best of all time today. I find this to be recency bias. Last season people were saying he could not beat Joe Burrow (before he did). I give Mahomes his due but I do not find him to be better than Peyton or Brady.

Jets are desperate for a OT but these receivers are tantalizing AF, and Jets also desperately need someone outside of Garrett who isn't complete trash.

I guess its up to who Aaron Rodgers wants because he calls the shots.
Are the Jets going to stick with Zach? Or draft a QB? Not sure you can plan long term with a 41 year old QB.

All reports are that they are done with Zach.

I don't think they will spend a 1st on a QB. Maybe a later pick.

Or sign a veteran backup for when Rodgers inevitably gets hurt again.

And draft a QB next year.

I was wondering if the Jets had signed Lamar instead of trading for Rodgers would the Jets have been in the conference finals? Possible with their defense.

Not with that O-line.
I understand that thought but Lamar may be the only QB that would actually do okay with a bad Oline. His career high in passing yards was this year with 3600. He runs for around a 1000. If Zach could beat playoff teams in the BIlls, Eagles, Texans and Chiefs could Lamar?

Zach didn't beat the Chiefs.

Jets should be draft a QB in the 1st few rounds every season until they get a keeper.

Hard to say but the jets would have had to pay $50 million+ and add a couple of 1st round picks if they wanted to make a deal. I can't imagine Lamar choosing the Jets over the Ravens with the same offer.

There seems to be a lot of internal dysfunction coming out of Jets world. That entire building is filled with backstabbers.

The jets have been dysfunctional the past 20+ years.

So many rumors that Kafka wants out. The Giants just refused to let him speak with Seattle about their OC position. I'm wondering how that will work if the Giants force Kafka to stay even when he would prefer to be coaching away from Dabes.

What in the blue hell do they see in Kafka?! Why do they want to keep him?
He trained under Andy Reid. He was fine in 2022 when we had a D rated line. He collapsed last season with a F rated line. I do not think the offense looked any better when Dabes nor Tierney were calling plays in 2023. Only so much you can do with a line that does not block. I do not know if Kafka is good or bad but with our Oline its hard to judge any play caller. If I was calling plays I would say on 3, run for your life.
