Mara is more loyal to his friendships with players than the franchise. Dude would rather have a BBQ with one of his friends who are 40 years younger than have the Giants win a game. No wonder they didn't trade Barkley.
A big reason the Giants will lose this game is because the WAS kicker missed an extra point. So nothing from their actual performance will be worth celebrating.

Its despicable. Not to mention franchising or resigning Barkley would be a dumb move too. Plus an NFL 3rd round draft pick is a valuable asset. Could have started over with 1 top 2 pick, 2 seconds and 2 thirds. Disgusting.

I root for the both, honestly, but it's even harder to root for the Jets.
NYC NFL football has been rough. I don't think the two teams combined in any of the past 11-12 years would be a legit SB contender.
I like Barkley but by the time we're ready to compete even with a new QB he would be not a good player anymore. And Barkley himself came out and said he has no loyalty to the Giants. So are they even keeping him beyond this year?

Fun fact Tommy Devito has one more throwing TD and two more overall TDs than Zach Wilson in 6 fewer games. And really it's more than 6 because he came in like the second quarter against the Jets.

Of course they collapsed against the Lions too. But the Lions are good.
Man, the Commanders are one of the few franchises more pathetic than the Giants. Year in and year out they're absolute garbage with some skin of their teeth division wins here and there. At least we didn't beat a good team today like the Jets did in the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes year.
