I was at the stadium today.

It was very cold.

Also, I think a few people were playing football? Couldn't tell. Didn't seem like it to me.

Regardless, lots of fun. Went with my 3 Jets fan buddies and we all had fun even if the game itself was f***ing awful.

Boy, that's really sad. Lmfao. Gotta love insecure Jets fans. Yeesh.
I’m a giants fan cursing my own team

What an embarrassing question dude, come on. The Rangers got outplayed by a better team in a decently played game. But the Rangers held their own. The Jets should have lost to a guy that completed 0 passes until OT.

Haha, I had to leave with around 5 minutes left or so. I literally could not take it anymore - my hands were numb.

I don't think anyone in that stadium thought the Jets had a chance, LOL.

At the end of the day, it's actually a positive since it helps us with draft positioning. The season is already over, anyway.

I’m a giants fan 👍

Ah, nevermind, then. ;)

I was going to say this has been such a great thread with everyone being well behaved!

Sorry, I was like really!?!? My mistake man.

I wanted us to win this one game. Just this one.

Moving on from that dumpster fire...

I don't know about Wilson. I'm still inclined to believe he sucks but he does show ability. Consider that the play calling was absolutely ghastly and the offensive line is of of the worst I've ever seen in the NFL--and today they were down to their third center, who isn't even a center, and had other OL practicing snaps on the sideline getting ready for their "opportunity." I really don't think any QB could be successful under these circumstances.

That may be the most unfortunate thing about the injury to Rodgers, that Wilson didn't get to spend a whole year learning from the sidelines. I think he's clearly better this year than last, which isn't really saying anything. The question is how much better could he be if he wasn't getting Sanchez-ed.

Outside of his one awful snap, he seemed fine, at least in terms of an emergency. I don’t blame the kid, that’s the definition of being thrown into a fire. The play calling was horrendous, and Zach makes you sick on just easy throws that he misses.

They also should trade for a receiver Tuesday, they dressed a guy off the practice squad today, and two rookie UDFA’s. Lazard embarrassed himself today too.

Yeah, on top of the horrible line play, he threw some balls that were pretty good and should have been caught. The only terrible throw I remember is the third and one where he short-hopped Breece.

Just wanted to peek your guys sub since your guys NFL thread probably has more Jets fans than ours (Devils) and wanted to see the comments from the train wreck that was that Jets v Giants game. Been saying it but that Jets game yesterday is one of the biggest clown shows I've seen in my 20 years of watching them which is saying a lot as any Jets fan can attest to.

The most maddening thing with him is that the guy makes the stuff that's super hard look incredibly easy and then the stuff that is super easy look incredibly hard. He had a flat route throw that he completely turfed which would've been an easy first + YAC. Then he comes back and throws multiple missiles to Garrett Wilson. I think having him play this year isn't the end of the world and probably the best case scenario after what happened last year + Rodgers injury. He can prove he still has a future in this league and in particular with us while also trying to rectify what happened down the stretch last year. He does look like a completely different QB mechanics wise + mentally for what it's worth imo.

I don't know what it is but Daboll just has this look about him that makes him look incompetent. And the way he reacts to things on the sideline. Something just isn't right.

Does anyone have the stats on how many times the Jets ran the ball on first down yesterday? (All season would also be appreciated)

I don't think Dabes is incompetent but he has a weird demeanor. I can't put my finger on it. Makes it hard to trust him. Giants have had many coaching and personal mistakes this season. I saw Gray was a big mistake as a returner in August but it took Dabes 7 games? I think the defense is playing for wink but I don't know if the players trust Dabes much this season.

Honestly...f*** them!

Jones acting like a little bitch when Daboll confronts him, to another schmuck criticizing "burger flippers" because fans have the audacity of calling them out on their incompetence.

These players have grown accustomed to taking a nice steaming pile of shit on the field and then having the coach get the kibosh.

Keep Daboll, get rid of most of these schmucks on offense and get new blood on this team.

I still believe in Schoen and Daboll, but I want to see them draft and develop a QB. As a fan I’m ready to move on from the Jones and Barkley. It just hasn’t worked out.
I believe in Joe Schoen. I'm not as big a fan of Dabes. I think he has blown decision after decision this season. Losing a game when you had a 99.9% chance of winning was only the cherry on top.

I know the talk about the end sequence centers around whether the Giants should have gone for it or kicked it. In the moment I actually thought they should have pooched it. A decent pooch and you take 7-8 second off the clock (potentially more if it rolls) and push the Jets back even farther.

I was okay with the FG, too. Honestly there is logic to all three options.

Apparently Jones saw doctors right before the game yesterday and was cleared to play, but Daboll was unaware.

HOW

Now this is nutso, but maybe he did know, but chose to make believe he didn't so he could avoid a controversy and keep Taylor the starter? The way Daboll goes hard at and gives it to Jones on the sidelines sometimes makes me think he's not at all enamored with him.

I don’t disagree that this year Daboll hasn’t had the same magic, but I’m just afraid of continuing the coaching carousel. It never works out.

That is a good point. I just fear that Dabes personality is not great for a HC. I could be 100% wrong. Dabes tried to get a HC job for a long time and was unsuccessful. I do wonder if the players see him as genuine. Again I can be 100% wrong. I do not think that is a decision that should be made today. We have 9 more games. Lets see how they play out before rushing to any conclusions.

DJ was ruled out of Friday. If a mistake was made than it was made on Friday because once he was ruled out on Friday they can not change it on Sunday. If they had listed him as doubtful on Friday than he still could have played on Sunday.
