If the Giants like a QB, and trade down for a haul instead, fold the franchise.

If they don't like a QB? Go for it.

The Giants have 7 losses by 1 score. Add an average QB and the season would look very different. Not quite a playoff team, but not far off.
When you consistently win or lose very close games there is a lot of luck involved unless you have the M-factor.

Over the last 2 seasons in games decided by 3 or less, the Chargers lost 11 straight. Reverse that and their 13-18 combined record becomes 24-7 and they look like a very differently but that 11 straight stat tells you they're probably not as good as their record says they are (Sorry Bill).

This season the Chiefs won 10 games by 1 score or less yet they are 13-1. We know they're not as good as hey were last year but last year they won 5 of their last 6 games by 1 score or less (so 15 straight). Maybe Mahomes can do that for KC but don't expect to draft a QB who could repeat that.

If I'm the Giants, I'm trading the top 3 pick for a haul for a team desperate for a QB. They need so much besides a QB.

Trade down two or three spots for someone who desperately wants Hunter or Shadeur for an extra 1st round pick and take Ward.
I think Cam Ward is going to be a massive disappointment in the NFL. I think you either take Hunter and have an insane 1-2 WR and hope you can pry Darnold out of Minny or you trade down for a haul and build the team. Be bad again and hope Arch falls into your lap.

This draft doesn't have a great QB. But I'm really tired of the "they need so much more than a QB narrative". QB is not equal to other positions. It's the most important position and this take on the matter treats it like it's a linebacker or something. A QB can definitely improve a team significantly all by himself. Look at the Commanders. Waiting for a QB when the team is better instead of taking one when they have a chance is an absolutely ridiculous way to build a team. As I said neither Sanders nor Cam are great prospects and if that's your position I respect it. But not because they have other holes. And who knows where they'll be picking next year.

"To some, the reference to the video game ratings is a sign of Johnson allowing his teenage sons, Brick and Jack, to influence the franchise.
'When we’re discussing things, you’ll hear Woody cite something that Brick or Jack read online that’s being weighed equally against whatever opinion someone else in the department has,' said one Jets executive.
Current and former players and coaches have also said Brick and Jack have brought friends — male and female — into the locker room, where Woody Johnson, his wife, Suzanne Ircha Johnson, and his sons have criticized players.
In another instance, on Halloween night this season, Rodgers entered the locker room with a game ball prepared to be given to interim coach Jeff Ulbrich, who just recorded his first win. Instead, Brick Johnson took it upon himself to award a game ball to wide receiver Garrett Wilson."

The bold is f***ing insane. Holy shit. Lmfao.

But what do you expect from someone named "Brick"?

I absolutely don't blame Garrett Wilson for doing nothing here but me personally, I really believe at that point, I would've told "Brick" to take that football and shove it straight up his ass, knowing full well the repercussions of my reply. In fact, I would bank on the outcome getting me out of that disaster of an organization.

I mean, legit, what FA or draft pick would really look forward to going to the Jets at this point. Would any high pick pull an Eli/Elway? It really is interesting if one has options.

Why do people believe so much nonsense on the Internet? I used to have to tell my elderly mom that just because its on the Internet doesn't make it true ☺️

Lawrence Taylor says hi.

In all seriousness, I'm okay taking a QB at #1 only if the Giants believe the guy is worthy of the legit #1 overall pick (franchise QB). If you trade that pick to move back, you're getting multiple players that are still likely to be high impact players, including other QBs.

If you wiff on the #1 pick, it likely takes years to recover.

Maybe they can trade it for the #5 and #7 pick and draft an average edge and a bust tackle.
