When you consistently win or lose very close games there is a lot of luck involved unless you have the M-factor.If the Giants like a QB, and trade down for a haul instead, fold the franchise.
If they don't like a QB? Go for it.
The Giants have 7 losses by 1 score. Add an average QB and the season would look very different. Not quite a playoff team, but not far off.
Over the last 2 seasons in games decided by 3 or less, the Chargers lost 11 straight. Reverse that and their 13-18 combined record becomes 24-7 and they look like a very differently but that 11 straight stat tells you they're probably not as good as their record says they are (Sorry Bill).
This season the Chiefs won 10 games by 1 score or less yet they are 13-1. We know they're not as good as hey were last year but last year they won 5 of their last 6 games by 1 score or less (so 15 straight). Maybe Mahomes can do that for KC but don't expect to draft a QB who could repeat that.
