I can’t see Jones anymore. He’s so terrible. I know Lock and DeVito aren’t good, but he’s had 6 years to prove he’s the guy and he just can’t do it.

I’d rather see DeVito and his offensive stereotype of an agent than see anymore of Daniel Jones.

Couldn’t believe it when I saw that play. I hit rewind on the DVR to be sure he didn’t pull up lame or something because it was such a hilarious give up from Banks lol.
A young guy that has done that 2 or 3 times in the first 7 games is definitely an issue. We counted on him to be a leader as our CB1 but he has been the opposite. I'm starting to fear he will become another questionable pick. If someone plays badly I can live with it. If a young kid can't bother to hustle that is a different story.

By the way even his lack of hustle aside Tae Banks is afraid of some types of contact. I have seen him avoid guys head on. Banks will tackle if he has an angle at a guys legs but if a guy is coming straight at him Banks looks for an exit.

I don’t really care about titles when assessing long stretches of miserable fan experience. That’s not to say Cubs fans have never had it bad but I wouldn’t use a lack of championships to make the argument. Like NYR could not win a cup any time soon and I’d still appreciate all of the awesome players I’ve gotten to watch for the past ~15 years, important games and playoff series have routinely taken place at MSG. Plenty of big moments and memories to talk about.

The Jets have literally SNIFFED the playoffs ONCE for more than HALF OF MY LIFE LOL. Not only is their current playoff drought approaching 14 years but along the way they have consistently played the most putrid, boring dog shit brand of football imaginable. I believe they’ve finished in the top 16 offenses once (2015) in that entire timespan while routinely finishing bottom 5. I’d say the only current teams on runs that rival NYJ are Sabres and Angels.
I understand completely......unfortunately, I've been watching them since their inception as the Titans......don't know how I've gotten through it.

It’s at the point where you can at least root to see how bad it can get. It would be pretty cool to see them miss the playoffs for like 20 straight years

I saw a stat that the jets have won the AFC East TWICE

This sums up the Jets' existence perfectly. The Colts have won the AFC East 6 times... they haven't been in the AFC East since 2001!

I'm so thankful the Rangers have been doing good things over the past 20 years, and the Yankees are in the World Series, because the Jets continue to disappoint season after season.

No trouble rooting for that....I'm also a Vikings fan so you can imagine my feelings for Rodgers have only intensified since he began dismantling this organization.

Patty Mahomes is dogshit this season and the Chiefs are 6-0 and just manhandled the 49ers who demolished the Jets.

We weren't a "QB away" after all.

Now do the Texans. This narrative sucks. It's used by Giants fan Daniel Jones apologists to tell us why we shouldn't draft a QB. It's bullshit. In most (not all cases) a good QB is enough to cover up weaknesses in the rest of the team. The Jets weren't an aging way past his prime Aaron Rodgers away, but if they had a top QB right now they'd be in the thick of it.

I've been on record here over the past decade saying my NFL fandom was fading along with my Jets fandom. This may be the nail-in-the-coffin year for pro football. I only have it on the TV on Sunday out of habit. I turned it off at halftime and forgot to check the Jets score until just now, which I'm glad I did, LOL.

Detroit and Minny are really good in large part because both teams built up their trenches. They both get good play from their Olines and Dlines. They also have great weapons at the skilled positions. Both teams have guys at QB that other teams cast away. I always thought Goff was a good QB. I was surprised LA gave up on him.

Another team that looks really strong is WFT. They were sellers at the last trade deadline. They let some good players go. They changed coaches. Now their rookie QB is very good but yesterday they won 40-7 and their rookie QB only played a few plays (rib injury). Their new coaches deserve a ton of credit.

Before Andrew Thomas went down the Giants were the best they've been in the trenches in over a decade and they were 2-4. Because Jones is an unplayable wanker. I've run out of American insults and am now using British ones. Next I'll call him a C U Next Tuesday.

I'm still of the mindset that you could start prime Tom Brady and the Giants would still miss the playoffs because the OL is just too bad.

I've been a Jones supporter but I think his time has passed. However, until the OL is fixed, this team isn't going anywhere.

On a slightly different note, I'd be curious what the rate of injuries is in the league this year compared to average. It seems like everyone is dropping like flies but I don't have any hard data to back it up. But it doesn't matter because the league is raking in the $$$. Maybe we can add 4 more teams, go to 18 games and start playing games in China! /s

I do think the league might have finally bit off more than it can chew in terms of expanding to 17 games, less preseason practice, more travel, etc. It might take a few years but I could see the NFL finally start seeing issues with ratings. The product isn't as good (or maybe I'm just getting old and cranky).

I'm sooooo sick of hearing about the O-line. The O-line has been no worse than average through the first 6 games and we were 2-4 not scoring many points. Yeah, it sucked last game. First of all, Jones exacerbates how bad the line is and is a big reason for a lot of the sacks he takes. Second, good QBs find ways to function without perfect protection. Jones can't make a simple pass with any kind of pressure. I remember Eli getting sacked 8 times against the Eagles in 2006 and coming back to win a game down 17 with 5 minutes left.

I realize you're joking but Goodell has stated he's in favor an 18-game schedule, because he cares so much about brain injuries. The average career is 3 1/2 years so the players union is willing to re-negotiate, because the players think they'll make more $. It doesn't make sense to me because your salary is your salary regardless of how many games you play. Owners have no obligation to pay more, and the rising salaries of the stars is the biggest threat to non-stars salaries. How long can QB & WR salaries keep going up so fast?

I don't blame you. I'm sick of it too but it's the truth. I'll cede to you that Jones is not the answer but he's hardly the only problem.

The OL the Giants had during the first SB win against the Pats was a thing of beauty. I lived around Philly for almost 20 years and watched them build out from the trenches. I hate the Eagles more than any other franchise on the planet but they understood the importance of building up OL and DL to win.

Get rid of Jones. I don't care. But learn how to draft better. Aside from the DL, Nabers, AT, Okereke and W Rob, everyone else is likely expendable or needs to be upgraded. If Gano gets healthy I'll throw him in as well.

Whether it was Brady or Mahomes in the Superbowl if the Oline can't block then bad things happen. People speak about Eli a lot but in the 2 Superbowls vs Brady the Gmen defensive lines were a huge key to victory. They held Brady to 14 points and 17 points.

Years later Tampa beat Mahomes in large part because KC's line could not keep Tampa's pass rush off him. KC scored 9 points all game.

Those are 2 of the best QBs of all time but when their Olines do not perform..........

I still can't believe the desperate dumb Devante signing. You have a bad offense with a QB playing poorly so you bring in a guy who asks to be traded when his team's offense plays as poorly as the Jets.

I'm really curious if Rodgers will be back next season. He is not the MVP Rodgers but he can still throw the ball. That will be a huge decision for the Jets. They are very talented but are they a team?

Except before Thomas went down the O-line was good. Complaining about the O-line is an attempt from Giants fans to take away responsibility from Jones. He sucks and his line was fine the first 6 weeks. And when it's not fine he makes it look worse than it is. Once again the O-line shit is just an excuse because people don't want to admit that Jones a f***ing cancer.

You're bringing up great QBs that lost in the Super Bowl where all we want is a team that is not worst in the league on offense.

The OL before Thomas went down was the best they've had in over 10 years and even with that they still scored at an identical rate to last years disaster offense.

Jones is just terminally incapable of creating big plays and judging by Daboll's presser yesterday it seems he is finally fed up with it.
