Has anyone used fanfirst site for Oilers tickets? Looking to purchase some for a December game and wanted advice on if there a good safe site or not. Thanks
The site is legit. I tried selling on it but ultimately cancelled my listing and sold elsewhere. Benefit is slightly lower fees but a purchase is not confirmed until the seller transfers tickets to you. Ticketmaster charges more in fees but you get the tickets instantly.Has anyone used fanfirst site for Oilers tickets? Staples Center in LA has a smoking balcony - or at least they did a couple of years ago when I was there. You have to go through the bar to get to it. I would say that the people smoking weed outnumbered those smoking tobacco by three to one. They had a security guard standing just inside the door, on the smoking side. He looked absolutely baked. It was kind of a surreal experience tbh.So to wit you are allowed to bring Cannabis into the arena but not smoke it.
I guess it was a concert and not a hockey game? I'm just assuming but its LA so you never know.Staples Center in LA has a smoking balcony - or at least they did a couple of years ago when I was there. You have to go through the bar to get to it. Nope. Kings vs Bruins.I guess it was a concert and not a hockey game?
I'll do you a solid Drivesaitl. There was another Millwoods hang out in Milbourne before that area went sideways. It was in a strip mall but it was a decent restaurant. Can't remember the name.
thanksI'll do you a solid Drivesaitl.
I believe the place that you are thinking of was called the Windmill ... Embattled pub loses licence for good
Now you can sleep better knowing it once again.
Interesting that the Bobby Nicks burger has been removed from Rogers Place. At least I didn't see it there.
My great uncle used to go to Bonanza almost every day. He was an elderly widower and I remembered going there with him when I visited Edmonton as a kid. I liked it as they had a buffet IIRC.Davids was excellent for simple quality food, and one of the best for breakfast. Always liked Smitty's for breakfast too when the kids were small. I remember the Corkscrew, I think it was in the Oliver area, was it not? Celebrated my 21 birthday at Waldens, a lovely place. I still remember the giant comfy chairs they had. Between Friends was usually great, too. Nicest restaurant I've ever been in, in Edmonton, was the Carvery, in the Westin Hotel.
Here's some other ones you may remember.

I have never not bought anything at a game and I have been to 15 games. My dad is going to make reservations at Sofra based on your recommendations. Thanks you all for the help, we appreciate it.
My dad sent me a screen grab that he'd found of a menu at Rogers and holy hell!
For two cheeseburgers, two pops, and two bags of chips the price was....... $55.00!!!!!
FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS. And that wasn't even with fries, it came with a bloody bag of Lays.

I forgot about them. Their steaks were thin as shoe leather, but man, were they ever tasty! My great uncle used to go to Bonanza almost every day. He was an elderly widower and I remembered going there with him when I visited Edmonton as a kid. I liked it as they had a buffet IIRC.
You unassumingly probably smoked a couple packs each game.I guess it was a concert and not a hockey game? I'm just assuming but its LA so you never know.
My first experiences going to hockey was at the old Edmonton Gardens. No smoking patio, no outdoor smoking. Everything was smoked inside back then, people would try to curtail it in seating area because the haze would interfere with their own viewing. (this just with tobacco) The concourse and washrooms were black with smoke. They would have public address announcement once a game if people could curtail their chain smoking a little because the players were having trouble playing. Seemed like every adult going to games back then was a chain smoker. Never worse than around 1970. The only ventilation in the old barn worth speaking about was bits of breeze blowing through the cracked and old mortar brick work on one end of building where the seating was higher up.
I bless attendance at those games for never having any wish to smoke cigarettes. It smoked any desire for the product out of me.
There's rip-offs also here in Finland, but these prices really are something. Out of curiosity how much would it cost for a family of four to go see a game in decent enough seats and some food and dessert (say hamburger meals and popcorn for all, some sweets or ice-creams for the kids, altogether 3 beers for the adults, maybe a couple coffees). These meals are far from ideal, in fact it'd be quite disappointing to go to a game and have to settle with e.g. hamburgers with chips as you can get those enough with good fries elsewhere, but I wanted to go with cheaper options.
Sorry I'm missing something but you'll need to open this for me, thanks! I mean I know roughly what the food costs but I don't know how much tickets for four cost (or if there's family tickets). I was only talking about a single game.$14,583.68 but it’s Canadian.
I remember that there was a lot of violence and a few shootings at the Windmill during the 90s.I'll do you a solid Drivesaitl.

At least you guys get the best of best experience, but I wonder how much profit they would really miss if food and drinks were something like 30% cheaper. I do think it's a shame for many that there is a thing like the Oilers and probably the best arena in the world, but so many can't afford to enjoy it.
I'm just going to bed so I'll reply quickly. Thank you for your post! Yeah it really is a shame. I asked earlier in the thread how much tickets, food and drinks for a family of four would cost and I have a feeling it'd be at least 500 (I don't know the ticket prices) dollars and maybe even closer to 1000 Canadian dollars. Now that's not only about affording the game, but many also wonder if they do their kids more good if they invest that money into their futures. That probably drops many from the averagely paid class out too and thus leaves their kids without the experience of going to a game, preferably regularly. There was some poll a year ago that said over 80% of people in the Edmonton area had not attended events at Rogers place.
it really is a constant bit of misinformation when these things are being leveraged and for taxpayers to pay that its "for the people" In North America it stopped being that a longtime ago. Attending pro sports is generally for the wealthy only.
The irony is that things that used to be expensive like Theater, Opera, Symphony are now inexpensive. The night at the Opera is now pro sports and complete with hockey palaces. Its a weird trajectory its taken.
This site has been documenting pro sports machinations for decades. You can search the database by team, city. Seattle has been jobbed probably 20X.
