Said Armstrong really liked him at the Worlds and made the offer of 25th or 29th and a future 2nd which Briere turned down.

Seems like a decent offer and seems reasonable to turn it down to me.

Edit: Laughton is a center signed for 3m x 3 years, who does a ton of stuff GMs covet. Seems reasonable to only accept a trade you can't say no to really.

I can't imagine them getting much more then that for him. Maybe they want a 2nd in this year's draft instead of a future 2nd. Or maybe an equivalent prospect that's developed a little further.


Tbh I think that's a pretty fair offer though and should be fairly close in value.
