Show me examples of returns for salary dumps over the last season, not 2-3 years ago when teams were cap constrained?
Dumping Laine cost CBJ a 2nd rd pick, but he has a $8.7Mx2 cap hit.
That's about the only "pure' dump I could find the last year or so, most dumps now are part of deals to balance out cap hits, because with a rising cap teams are no longer desperate to clear cap.
Peterson and Johansen were probably worth a 3rd at most as cap dumps.
With a flat cap, Ghost and Stralman cost a 2nd to dump with similar cap hits.
No one is giving up a 1st to dump salary anymore.
Of teams who have won a Stanley cup I believe the Flyers have the 2nd longest drought after the Leafs but f*** the Leafs. At least Toronto has been to the playoffs a lot more recently and would probably win one first before the Flyers could given current rostersMy sinuses are way, way too clogged to show you the information you've already been shown numerous times by now. It's not worth it to hunt down and give you data when you aren't going to use it and the only information point you care about it "what did the Flyers do?" followed by unquestioned acceptance of whatever they did as the best possible choice; or decreeing they had no choice somehow.
Truly no team in sports has less agency than the Flyers.
Yall in here really dealing with this dude like it's anything but the below....smhmh View attachment 925254
