Rangers are down to 4 guys on the ice. Flyers had 6 guys on the ice. What are they supposed to do, with the Ref's right there IMMEDIATELY getting involved?

Which Ranger on the ice would you like to see have a completely meaningless fight with 3.6 seconds left in a game that is already won? The Rangers had no chance to retaliate in this game...

Stepan, Nash, McD, or Girardi?

Team has won 5 in a row.....Hank is playing great.....and people still complain about team toughness....

We'll see what happens in a 7 game series with Philly.

I knew that before tonight's game. Honestly I don't see what the big deal is about the Flyers. They will always implode in the playoffs because the goaltending as always is a weak link. As you saw tonight when they have to actually play a hockey game their skill & physical game go out the window. It's one or another with them.

id like them to beat the pens in the playoffs first and then implode.

That's the perfect time to retaliate. Games over, put a hurting on someone. Cross check to Hartnells chin would have been a perfect ending to this game.

When they have 1.5 as many guys on the ice as you is a terrible time to retaliate

Hank and McDonagh can be locked in for the 1,2 spots every game this time of year.

Team looks good, get St. Louis going into the playoffs.

7 game series? I don't think they play those when the rangers win 4 of 5 :sarcasm:

I think we'll see a lot of what we saw at the end of the game tonight during the playoffs with Philly.

The Rangers could be great on the PP and win 4 out of 5 but I don't see it.

Man I hate Hartnell and Simmonds. Just looking to injure someone for the point of sending a message.

Both of them will get their heads clocked. Lights out. Nasty players get nasty endings. They should tread water.

Actually, I do not believe that anything momentous will happen to them.
This is not the 'old' NHL. Vic Hadfield (or some other Rangers) would have made a point of pummeling a guy like Simmond's face in.

Oooooooooooooh.....not a 7 game series. I'm sure the Rangers are terrified....:sarcasm:

As much as that would've been a "perfect ending" which one of Girardi, McD, Stepan, or Nash do you want to get suspended?

Not really. The refs would be in to stop it. Thing is you can't let this crap go on. Once you put a bully on his arse he will stop with the garbage.

5-game winning streak. 3 VERY winnable games against CGY, EDM and VAN.

Not to mention beating VAN might end their playoff hopes and i'm sure AV would get a kick out of that.

Players that look for trouble, get it sooner or later. I'm not saying someone will come over and sucker punch them in the head. I'm saying they'll go looking for trouble one too many times, and then someone will flip the light switch off.

With bigger guys, that tends to happen later in their careers, because they get slower as they encounter younger and stronger guys their size. For mid-sized to smaller guys, it can happen at any time - like Cooke and Kane.

Everything comes full circle in this world. Dirty players get dirty endings.

Big, big win for us. Now we have to go out west and take care of business. Great game by the 4th line and McDonagh-Girardi and Henrik. Too bad we lost the shutout towards the end but that was a great shot by Voracek.

The Simmonds slash at the end was classless.

Hartnell thought Girardi punched him on purpose. It was when Hartnell was going down after he got hit with the puck. G did hit him in face with his hand but I doubt it was intentional. They showed Hartnell *****ing to the ref about it afterwards. After that he seemed to hone in on G the rest of the game. That's why he went after him in those last seconds.

Yeah, your right. The way this league works they would lose one of them for a week. It's just that this BS of the flyers has been haunting the rangers since the 70's. Just once I would like to see them get pummeled.

I'll be happy with 2/4 in the West.
